Description Progression in Scraps.
Closeup of #1 Femshep in a 2 part painting to be paired with Kaidan. Working on his part now, I swear! This is what a "clean" style looks like from me, (compared to my usual sloppy, sketchy stuff). After this, I'm never doing it again.

Actually, would have progressed quicker, but I've discovered this thing called Knights of the Old Republic? And there's a guy in it by the name "Carth Onassi". Maybe you've heard of him. Erhem ===> [link] GOD. Fucking kill me now. How do you get that line to appear in the game?????

This is awesome! Also, as for Carth. Just talk to him a lot, he'll eventually fall for ya. Also, KOTOR is the best Bioware game of all time! (and Carth is soooooo hot!)

That's so cool. You did a fantastic job, I love her expression, and god, the armor is amazing. Can't wait to see the finished piece!

And KOTOR was my favourite game ever (before I discovered Mass Effect.) <3

She is so wonderful. She wasn't my favorite of the batch, but she was still gorgeous.

Don't worry about the KOTOR lag. I only discovered it...6-ish months ago? And Carth is so wonderful!

KOTOR is my current obsession-- oversahdowing even Mass Effect at the moment, which I never thought would be possible! And I'm so eager to play the second one when I'm done. Is he in the second game much?

I think with certain circumstances, he gets a cameo. But not much else. I haven't played TSL yet, but I imagine that you'd want to get what they have of the restoration mod before starting in on it.

CheeryFrown In reply to diraemythos [2011-09-06 10:18:41 +0000 UTC]

I haven't actually played it, lol. A lot of people have raved about it, though, so I'd say it probably is.

Still, I haven't bothered to buy it (yet?) because I heard it wasn't polished off very well, and the ending especially is pretty rushed-out. Plus, I don't really like it when they replace all the characters I've come to love, but that's just my opinion.

Oh! That reminds me. This isn't about KOTOR2, but if you're romancing Carth in KOTOR1, then these two mods are a must-have: [link] and [link]
Warning: Don't watch the video in the second link - major spoilers. Just look in the underbar for the download.
Enjoy!

thank you so much! I've been pretty good about avoiding the worst of spoilers! I read that romance was weirdly unbalanced depending on Revan's gender, so yay for mods!

I hear KOTOR2 is rushed too, but so was the first one, and it's still very enjoyable imho. I watched a fan compilation of Atton on Youtube the other day and it looks like a lot of fun.

Maybe I'll find it used or something.

Unbalanced romance, you say? Well, I like to take solace in the fact that kissing Bastila causes a glitch that ends the romance, ironically. It's my petty little feminist revenge. ;)

PirateRose In reply to diraemythos [2011-09-04 02:03:42 +0000 UTC]

oh hell yeah, major spoilers.

That line is basically from the very, very end of the game in fact.

Tip though to get that line specifically,(and I'm being a spoiler free as possible) play the majority of the game LS, cause he won't romance you if you're DS, and go DS when offered at the end of the beach paradise like planet. (the location should remind you a great deal of virmire).

As for Carth, just keep talking and flirting with him to go through all of his conversations (15 in total) and do his personal quest and I'm sure you'll be golden. The game may be showing its age compared to the newer BioWare titles, but it's still my absolute favorite romance. Have fun!

I admit that I was put off by him because of the amount of love he has with fangirls. I always thought it would be a let down if I actually played the game. But he's so hot. My current obsession is positioning my Reven in his line of sight when nothing is going on or someone else like Reven is talking. His default motions seem to be angry musing, melting into a soft glance, shaking himself out of it, and then looking away. If you place female Reven in front of that it looks like he's thinking "oh, crap, Reven is around.... Not that she's so horrible- not hard on the eyes either. Wait, what am I thinking? *scowl* But then again..."

I was a little disappointed too. But I got used to the fan choice (I won't play with the default femshep I have my own anyway). Though I don't understand one thing - why they didn't add the brown hair Shepard to voting choices. :/

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

diraemythos In reply to Padzi [2011-09-04 18:28:06 +0000 UTC]

that was conspicuously absent, wasn't it? I mean the choices were blonde, "dirty blonde", redhead, black. Weird.

And I have my own shep too, so it doesn't matter that much to me. I only wish they had made a Jennifer Hale Shepard Default from the very beginning. They did the same thing with Bastilla, I don't see why they couldn't again.

Padzi In reply to diraemythos [2011-09-04 20:03:07 +0000 UTC]

Very strange, But you know what's weireder? (as all we know) Shepard is a default Renegade for Bioware so when I saw those four voting options (in the first hour) I was sure the redhead is going to win (coincidence? I don't know.)

It pisses me of too. But bioware lately is going crazy with promotions and it's all because of EA the life sucking vampire (it sucks life and good ideas out of Bioware)

I hate EA with a passion. The things they were trying on Mass Effect-- making Mass Effect less of a rpg, making the Sims more into one... whut??? Its just a giant confused slick marketing nazi that doesn't even know what it's own properties are about. Has anyone who worked their even played either game? Ever?

*headdesk*

Padzi In reply to diraemythos [2011-09-04 20:23:57 +0000 UTC]

Me too! It's cool you know what's what! (not many gamers do)
Sims became worse....much worse. Sims 2 were great but in Sims3 there weren't many cool elements like in Sims2, it was basically a place holder for future add-ons.
Sims Medieval is half-decent if you just want to play and not really think about it. But I wouldn't pay a full price for it.

diraemythos In reply to Padzi [2011-09-13 15:33:21 +0000 UTC]

I think I started smelling something fishy when I started learning what the sims3 would be and when it rolled around, the rumors were right. EA was taking power away from an incredibly inventive and spirited community that made tons of self-made content, and forcing them to buy extra content from their own website-- i mean, the fan's custom content sustained love for The Sims for years--- I'd argue it was life-support for the aging franchise. But instead of seeing it for what it was, the EA company saw it was a potential money-source. Oh, you want more cool stuff in the game? Okay, we'll change the code so you can't be creative, and you can buy creative stuff from our employees instead.

Of course EA's lackeys couldn't hold a feather to the best fan custom-creator on their best day. When I saw Mass Effect becoming less of an rpg and more of a shooter, it was more of the same thing imho. EA is a corporate vampire. Or rather a huge, bloated, tantrum-prone toddler taking over the playground. I'll always love Bioware, but for me it's like I'm witnessing it's last gasp-- it's last good days. I'll mourn for what it was, but I dread what EA is slowly forcing it to be.

Padzi In reply to diraemythos [2011-09-16 12:19:11 +0000 UTC]

I really dislike EA policy. It's targeted at people who play the game once, and never again, they're doing it know with mass effect. They're showing only one things on the cons - how the shooting stages look like, and it's all to please the people who aren't really interested in ME yet, who only want to shoot some aliens. It pisses me off when someone is calling himself a mass effect fan, and don't know what's going on because he skipper majority of the dialogs.

And you are right about money - just look at those DLC's, the biggest dick move in ME2 was cutting out the shadowbroker missiom amd selling it as a DLC. Fuck you EA.

At first I was happy that ME was going to get better music, better graphics, better gameplay, but after playing I realized that ME had better plot and atmosphere than ME2. I like Space Operas when the plot and character relationships are the most important things, not shooting things like in ME2.

diraemythos In reply to Padzi [2011-09-16 19:16:27 +0000 UTC]

YES. to all of that. EA seems to just step in and eff with stuff, dumb it down, make it marketable, and a shell of what it once was. They're also kings of NOT GETTING THE POINT. Example-- all their marketing research that they use with the pretense of finding out what we want to justify what they want us to pay for. Example:example: Concluding that people like taking screenshots of The Sims and making their own little stories and then making The Sims more of an in-game movie experience-- WRONG. SO so wrong. EA, you fucking fucker fucktards!

The Vega thing in ME3 is just another example of them dumbing down Mass Effect for the new players-- new BUYERS. Mass Effect was a revolutionary game. The Save Import has never been done before. It's an ongoing story. It's supposed to reward people who've been there from the start. But ME3 has TRAINING WHEELS for the new buyers for the sake of money. Forget the plot! Forget character development for characters we already know and love and want to see more of. VEGA, the poorly veiled trainingwheel/ingame tutorial will spell it all out for the noobs who just wanna skip to the end and see 'SPLOSIONS! BIG 'SPLOSIONS! BOOM! FIRE!

Padzi In reply to diraemythos [2011-09-17 18:32:18 +0000 UTC]

I agree. They simplified the game too much. But the only thing I really liked about Sims3 was that you could pick smoothly if your sim was fat or skinny, and a lot of skin colors to pick. I play sims 2 to this day, Sims 3 is somewhere on the shelf.
Well Spore was suppose to be another sims-like title with million of add-ons, it's good it didn't work.

And about Vega - Did you read the mini comic? they are creating him to be the total action guy. from every other action movie. Haaa....omg.
