Ok, finally. I went through a few renders to get this right, weirdly enough. It was lights again.Anyway, this was yet another clothing/costuming test for Wheatley, this time based on the designs has done. It took a while to get this outfit to work for me, and hopefully it looks right, or at least pretty close. I decided to change his hairstyle as well and see how I liked it. It looks fine, I'm not sure about it really though.
In keeping with replicating the design, I chose the rectangle frame glasses this time.
To make the picture more interesting, I put Wheatley in a set, gave him Lily's Data Tablet and had Chell pay him a visit. You can even see the ASHPD sitting on the shelf in the background.
So, with the lights finally behaving themselves, the render works now, and I guess, in some brighter rooms, you just don't get a whole lot of shadows, do you? (that's ok)
I suspect this might be illustrating a dialogue quote, but I'm too shagged out to figure out which one.

LOVING. THIS. Like their expressions are absolutely perfect, the clothing designs are great, and gah. It's just so adorable. He's looking at her like he's trying to explain things; she's staring back like "Uh huh. Go ahead. Figure it out." XD Faving. I just...too much awesome.

Aww you're welcome! Trust me, I can't write Wheatley very well. I just couldn't come up with anything for this other than a convo about math...XD But I'm glad you liked it

I REALLY REALLY love this because you seemed to have captured his face perfectly! The one thing that bothers me though is that he seems pretty muscular, most british people, like the voice actor StephenMerchant himself, are not too well beefed. Steve is an extremely tall and lanky fellow, so I think the face is perfect, it's just his body type that bothers me. Other than that, federal regulations require me to inform you that this picture is looking pretty good.

I know what you mean, unfortunately that's one -huge- drawback with this medium, in that sometimes the clothing figures are not as configurable as they need to be (sigh!). The model itself is relatively svelte, it's the clothing makes him look bigger than he is. It's not as bad with men's clothing as it is with women's, however (it can be terrible with women's clothing). With the men's clothing, particularly this set, it's not very configurable (part of the reason I hesitated to use it for so long). It's the way the models fit to each other that makes it frustrating, this clothing really should have -a lot- more morph targets in it to fit poor M4 right. It's a nice looking set, but far too limited in usability.
Otherwise though, I'm glad you liked the image!
