I would call it intense, deffinetly suprised me. I am upset and appaled at the same time. Wonderful photo shot though, the lighting is right for such a dark picture

aaaa las momias de Guanajuato, yo tambien fui hace mucho, pues a nosotros si nos dejaron tomar varias fotos, me da escalofrios verlas y mas las de los bebes. Bueno haciendo a un lado eso pues la capturaste bien, sus ojos se ven medio malignos o no se...da miedo.

I find this overall disturbing and mentally intruiging, the ability for dead cells to become petrified to a degree that even outside forces don't dsturb its overall structure.
Though it's expression obviously doesn't express the same level of fascination over the situation

I went there once when I was around 8 or 9.
I dared my younger sister to stick her finger into a hole in the glass of one the compartments....she didn't do it.
But I do remember this little guy! Beautiful picture by the way.

What is the background of this child? It can't be from Europe because it isn't dry enough to perserve it so well, but it's dress is European. What time period, also is it from?

Well, I don't have a full biography of the kid, but I know this much (from the paper in front of her): her name was Magdalena Aguilar. She belonged to a high-class family (which is obvious not only by her dress, but by the culture of the epoque: people from middle and lower classes used to dress their dead children as little angels. Only the rich could afford to pay a fancy new dress for their kids). She was buried in 1897 and exhumated in 1909. It's certainly not as old as most mummies nowadays.
