Arty! Just for fun ^^ I do actually have an aged version of him as well 'cause... well... yeah. But in the first book he's like, what? 12? So. This is my concept of him

*is thoughtful* If he was 12... wouldn't he not be smiling? He's a bit too "cute little kid" for my taste (I always invisioned him as more severe and the stereotypical high cheerkboned/ skinny kid) but it's really good. I aspire to become as good as you are in digital art.

Well, I think the smile is genius. It's a really fake half-smile. You know he's not smiling really. This is the kind of smile Artemis makes, I think. Cos he doesn't know how to smile, do you know what I mean?

I love the hair and the highlights on the jacket! This could be personal preference, but I would put deeper colors in his irises... irisi? in his eyes... that way they are well grounded in the value of his surrounding facial features. Still, it's awesome!

If you were doing the Arty as he was in the books, I always imagined him to have a slim face, long and elegant, befitting of his noble blood and Fowl heratige, a gangly child going through the growth spurts of puberty yet just before the horomones kick in properly, plus his diet and other contributing factors would keep him looking trim and graceful ....
However, this little Arty is so cute, still with a little puppy fat and big innocent eyes... *Huggles him*

This is cool. A point though. The image is great, the content is great. the expression is off.

I was probably about twelve when I started reading the books, and I fell in love with him.
This is just how I imagined him, though, now that I'm going on sixteen, I'd like him to maybe be a bit older, so I don't feel like such a loser. D:

Heh, I'm almost as old as you (18), and my little brother's 12 (and actually, his facial structure is pretty dang similar to this pic, lol, so I guess it's pretty accurate, hee), but I still just can't imagine Arty looking that... little. xDDD Maybe I should convince my mind to revamp my image of him too, lol. Ah, I can't wait for Time Paradox to come out, though; Lost Colony was so good...
