Description
I apologize. This may take forever to load. So, I was feeling really lazy and art blockish.. and I drew this picture of me with artblock... and then I was working away at coloring it while still feeling incredibly lazy and I thought "hey.. since I can't really do anything productive artistically, I could make a coloring tutorial"
You see, I never really colored stuff before when I had art block.. and then I realized it could be really easy and fast. Sure, it takes some practice to get familiar with everything.. but once you have that down, it's really just a simple four step process per layer. And then it's done!
Of course, if you don't have artblock, you can probably be a little more creative with the technique. It's still handy
So yeah. Here are the texture sites that I mention in the tutorial:

and of course... deviantart [link]

i was trying to figure out why my wand selector tool wasn't selecting all of teh area inside the linart...until i realized i was using a soft edged brush--a sketch brush--so the lines weren't defined enough -.- butbutbut...i love drawing with that brush! *sniffles*

THANKS! Im such a good sketcher but i HATE coloring! Always have, id just like to get it out of the way, but in the way that both drawing and painting dont screw it up.

Hey, I saw your tutorial and decided to give it a shot.

Second Attempt: [link]
I'd say your tutorial works because now I know how to play with colours and add effects. On the second one I was kind of experimenting. Thanks a lot

nice tutorial
i mostly work with vectors though, have you ever tried "create clipping mask" option? it usually works for me but has it's downsides

Hmm, I'm not sure what you mean D: But it is true that you have to be on the layer than contains the boundaries of what you want to select. So basically.. if you have a cat on one layer, say, and a dog on the 2nd layer, you have to be on the first layer to select anything on the cat. Does that help? :c

but, this is about 1 layer.in this tutorial you use different layers for pants, skin, hair.....and you see these thing colored apart on the layers...............with you can't see it ( the layers in the bow, i mean)

i was goin emo, givin up even thinkin bout photoshop'in, but finally by for example just seein the layers on ur tutorial teaches me alot

...I'll get around to using it... eventually...
