Description
This is my pastel study of a work by Doug Dawson; drawn 100% by me, but conceived 100% by him. I liked the depth of expression that this minimalist piece provided.I intend to try the style out myself and see if I can use it as a starting point for large pastel works and portrait paintings.
1 hour, soft pastels on A4 coloured paper.

Intriguing color choices! I love the green-red combo.
Minimalist it is and so darn effective, too. Kudos!

Thank you, I embarrassedly state the original is even better - have a look at "Painting Light and Colour with Pastels"

Excellent style - I really like the way you haven't out the other bits - it adds to it that it just has the bits drawn

Thank you
It's a study of another's work, and they drew in the same style.. it was so effective that I had to try to replicate it. I was happy with the result though.

I need to work out my own style for it, as this is only a study - but thank you
Looks like you went through my whole gallery..

Your gallery is long, I only saw some things here and there. I saw the Trigun pic you told me about.

Tis five years old after all! I should probably clear the lot out and get a new gallery when I have enough works that I'm proud of.

Heh, I would like to keep a track of what I've done so far. If I were you, I'd probably scrap a couple things to keep it "cleaner", but I don't really like to delete things. And I don't like people who do that too. That was a warning. No pressure, tho. XD

Again, I shiver
There are some scraps that I did just that with a couple of months ago.
