I love how you used so many different visual aspects to create one piece. This is really well thought out! It would look great with the dress

THANK YOU THANK YOU!
I have figured out that I am the type of jeweler that likes to base my creations off of things that really appeal to me and or that speak to me. So when I do make something, it tends to have many 'inspirations' in it. This was my first piece to truly show what all inspired me and what all I wanted to come out through the piece. The fact that you like that, gives me hope that maybe...just maybe...I am on the right track. Hahaha.
And I think it looks good with the dress as well. Tell you a little secret? When I was making it...i thought it was turning out horribly and almost quit. Nothing was going right and ugh...it just was not working. I am kind of happy I didnt quit though.

You are certainly on the right track! I only buy jewelry that has meaning and pure inspiration behind it, and that's the approach I've been taking with my stuff too. I just never thought of actually basing it off something lol

And I have definitely experienced that! But I'm very glad you didn't quit, look at what you were able to accomplish once you pushed through it! My first piece was like that, and now it's turned into one of my favourites Funny how that happens, huh?

Funny you should mention that the first piece turned out to be your favorite.
I am in the process of moving and because finances are going to be tight for awhile, I discussed with my mom the plan of taking apart a few pieces that I have made on a whim and putting the beads back into my bead boxes for future projects. Well, I went through my storage box and found my first ever really good necklace. (Well, it was good when I made it anyway. )
I made it when I was fifteen for my first homecoming. I saw it and immediately put it in the keep pile. So...I totally understand. Haha
I am going to post a picture of it today I think.

Great concept! I like what you did!
I sometimes create things with the same creative process, I try to represent something symbolic, I love the way you did it, because it's very brilliant! Many compliments!

Why thank you indeed! I am glad that you like it so much and that you spotted the symbols. That piece was a fun one to do just because of all the symbols and things I wanted to add. So I am glad that you 'approve'.
Thank you for the compliments, you have a wonderful day and stay safe.

Thank you. Really. But I wonder what is going on with this website when people are "thanking" me for being kind. Shouldnt people be kind anyway??? (Dont worry, wont rant on you. I already did that to my best friend. )
You have a great and safe day okay???

I find it sad that it is rare.
So, I accept your gratitude and I assure you, that
everyday that I belong to this website...I will make the lack of kindness more and more rare. Spreading good cheer people!

I love it when you show us what your inspiration for each necklace was. It makes each piece more personal and I just love seeing where your inspiration came from and how it was put into your jewelry

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DOC-Ash1391 In reply to TashJann [2012-11-19 02:05:40 +0000 UTC]

I actually just started doing this. I wanted to show why the necklace fit with the theme...and that to do a piece like this...it takes a lot more work and research than just liking how certain beads look together. Although that last part is a big piece of it too. I think to do this necklace, it took five hours? Four of those hours just doing the research on what I needed to know.
And I am glad that you like seeing what the inspiration and meaning are behind them, maybe for you and some others I will continue uploading them. Thank you so much...that piece of feedback means a lot to me. Really.

I would love to see more of your jewellery pieces showing what your inspiration came from, but I have a idea ... what about putting your inspiration picture next to your jewellery pieces picture. That will save you a double upload and your fans from going to another page to see what your inspiration was. It's just a idea I hope you don't mind me suggesting it

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DOC-Ash1391 In reply to TashJann [2012-11-19 02:51:17 +0000 UTC]

Girl...if I minded your suggestion I would reign fire down upon you. If I could that is. I have actually done that once, but it was so crowded that I just took it out and replaced it. So now, like my Once Upon a Time inspired jewelry, I just place a well chosen photo with the necklace and call it that. The Phantom of the Opera necklace was a different case because it required such detail...and I wanted people to get it. The Princess Aurora one was to just check if people would object to the color and or style or not. So...though your idea is worth considering again, its just that sometimes it can get too crowded. I would rather submit them separately so that people can enjoy the piece...and then if they want to, go to the inspiration.
But thank you for feeling free to give some well mean advice. I appreciate that because it means you actually 'SEE' my jewelry. So thank you.

Yeah I understand and would rather having 2 links to see in full detail then one crowded picture. As for the reign fire, maybe another time and I will bring the marshmallows to toast

YOU HAVE NEVER HAD SMORES???
Wow...you poor thing.
Well, its a very rich dessert/snack.
You put the gram cracker on the bottom, followed by the hershey chocolate bar followed by the marshmellow followed by another hershey bar followed by another gracker. Then you eat it! [link] Very yummy.

TashJann In reply to DOC-Ash1391 [2012-11-26 09:49:37 +0000 UTC]

I few months ago, a local shop got some hershey chocolate bars and some some peanut butter cups from the USA. I got a pack of each to try and omg, the hershey chocolate bar tasted off and bitter. The Reese peanut butter cups weren't nice to eat at all. I couldn't even finish them. I ended up putting them in the bin, cause no one in the family wanted to eat them and my family loves chocolate ... well aussie chocolate anyway So you can have smores, I'll be happy with the marshmallow thanks. Unless you can make smores without the hershey chocolate and if the gram cracker's are sweet?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DOC-Ash1391 In reply to TashJann [2012-11-26 14:38:01 +0000 UTC]

Hmmm, I am wondering if you had the Hershey's dark chocolate. That one is my favorite because it isnt as sweet. Its more darkish sweet. Ahg...I dont know how to explain it.
My family never make smores the same way twice. We use Cinnamon Sugar Graham Crackers as well as white chocolate, dark chocolate, milk chocolate or even no chocolate. Its a yummy treat sometimes. And Aussie Chocolate...funny thing. I always wanted to visit Australia...maybe now I will...just for the chocolate!

Randomness-By-Korki In reply to DOC-Ash1391 [2012-11-10 02:11:47 +0000 UTC]

I already planned on you making my jewelry for my wedding, and I was hoping you could hand deliver it. Don't worry, you have another year or so if not longer to plan this all out. xD

Your other pieces are beautiful, so don't take that the wrong way. ... But this necklace feels as if she should have been wearing it in the movie! I think it would have completed her outfit to be honest.

DOC-Ash1391 In reply to Randomness-By-Korki [2012-11-10 03:00:28 +0000 UTC]

I am sooo honored.
And hopefully when you actually decide on a date...in a year or so...I will have the money to actually present it to you in person. That would be fun.

I didnt take it the wrong way...I took it the right way!
And thank you, I thought the same. I kind of wished I could make prop jewelry. I would have so much fun!

Real quick, I was thinking earlier when I was doing this piece...it would be fun to do a series of jewelry inspired by all the hollywood leading ladies...not todays...but from the 20-60's. The classic hollywood era. Grace Kelley came to mind, so did Elizabeth Taylor as well as Eva Green and Audrey Hepburn. All had such beauty and such class....

Randomness-By-Korki In reply to DOC-Ash1391 [2012-11-10 03:23:18 +0000 UTC]

I find your jewelry elegant, beautiful and plain out stunning. I should be the one who is honored that you would even offer your services for a wedding that doesn't even have a date yet. You're amazing person, and if we are still talking and in contact by the my wedding comes, then one way or another you will be there because you will be in my wedding.

I do believe you would have a lot of fun with that. Basing necklaces off of them, especially Audrey Hepburn would be an awesome tribute them as well just very good people to base the necklaces off of. Have you ever based your jewelry on a song? I'm just curious because I think it would be interesting if you did an Elvis themed necklace, and I would have to claim it right away (not for me, but for my mom - she looooooves Elvis). xD
