ok so i am made a video tutorial of this and it includes how to do everything (except change the color of the journal i will make a separate vid for that) maybe you could edit ths and put the link once i upload it? just to show people that i made it.

Download the .zip file, then open it up. There should be an image labeled "page 1". Open that up and follow the steps. All it basically says is open up "journal skin base.psd" in GIMP or another program. Draw whatever you'd like on the journal skin, and export it as a .PNG file. 

Then upload it to an image hosting site or to your dA gallery. DoctorSandwich recommends tinypic: tinypic.com/

If you are using Tinypic, click "see full size image". Then right click and select "copy image URL" or "copy image address". 

Next, go into dA and click "write a new journal entry". Select Deviant Green or "no Journal Skin". Then click edit skin. The second page of the tutorial covers that and what you do next >w<

Only thing is some people might have to right click -> view image (when in the download window) if pulling the background off dA otherwise you won't get the correct URL to use.
