Weight: 40 pounds
Age: 5 years
Gender: Male

Voice Actor: Jeremy Brett
Fraction: Pets - the local doctor's dog

Family: Ramala 's Grim can be considered a sort of 'chosen' family to Tony.
Mate: None
Color: liliac and white
Defining Features: a very tall, yet light and slender male, built for speed and fast reflexes, has a fairly rough and unkept coat for his breed, wears a brown collar, which mostly vanishes within his thick mane though, outstandingly piercing eyes, one pointy, one floppy ear.
Personality: eccentric / dramatic / ingenious / polite / intense
Tony probably can be refered to as your common border collie at first glance, he is energetic, intense, active and an inredibly hard worker, who will often not stop, until what he set upon himself is finished and the problem is solved. He however also can be outstandingly lazy and passive, which usually is worst right after he finished a case and then reaches a new peek, when he has to stay without any problem to solve for longer periods of time and if no problem arises, will eventually result in him falling back into old habits of distroying furniture and alike. It's like an old addiction slumbering within him and as much as he hates it, if his mind is not kept busy with a tricky case to unwinde, he will slip back down to these habits he actually hates, because he loves his family and does not want to disapoint them, by ruining their belongings.
One of his main issues is the plain fact, that he is an already almost stupidly intelligent dog, who has an outstanding ability to deduce and find solutions to problems, nothing ever passes him without his piercing eyes noticing it, he sees and hears and smells everything, not being able to keep himself from taking in every tiny detail of a place, it's like an avalanche of information breaking down on him constantly and as much as this is his greatest gift, it's also his greatest curse, for his mind begins to rebel against him, if it's not occupied enough and ends him up drifting through lethargie to his old habit of distruction.
Despite his big need for mental challanges, it's not like he accepts every case, they have to be extraordinary of some kind and catch his attention, he will not go find a lost bone, if the bone is a human's however, he'll be all over the case in no time. He generally is a very polite, friendly and charming dog, who gets along well with other dogs of all genders, he just can be very eccentric and a little odd in his ways, like many working border collies and so other dogs at times find it a bit hard to be around him. He also can be very dramatic and even harsh, as well as he shows not much patience for those he marks mentally inferior to him and especially those, who are, but think they aren't.
He does enjoy being complimented for his abilities a lot, even though he will just wave it away with a swift wag of his tail and a little smile, pretanding to be modest, while actually modesty in matters of his abilities are not exactly what he is. He is however tolerant and accepting, even letting a crime pass by unnoticed, if the culprit acted relatable to him. If he wants to he can be very charming, but also knows were to poke, if he wants to bring somebody down. He might not be a very large dog, but having been bred for working and herding larger animals, he knows very well to use his swiftness and agile body to his advantage. He might often appear aloof, but he cares deeply for other dogs and will take action to protect and defend others in need.
Pre-Group History: Tony was born at a farm, where sheeps and working dogs were bred. The breeder looked more for dogs clever, independent and enthusiastic about work, than ones looking particulr good in shows. When he was a pup, Tony eventually was sold to a young family, the local doctor of Canidale, his wife and two children, who looked for an intelligent, active and good-natured dog, sadly Tony's breeder was still more interested in their money than actually telling them the whole truth about what owning a border collie bred for working meant and so gave them the pup, assuring them if a clever and active dog was what they looked for, this was the perfect dog for them.
The doctor and his family were definitely dedicated to Tony from day one, the children love playing with him and his master will often involve him, yet the humble live of a domestic pet with a fine yard and meeting other dogs on the meadow twice a day soon proved to be far too less for the active and incredibly awake mind of the extraordinary gifted border collie and so he began doing what most border collies do, who end up chosen as companion dogs rather then working dogs - Tony found his own ways to keep his mind from running wild, driving him crazy, he began to distroy the shoes and carpets, eat the plants belonging to his mistress and dug holes all over the yard, causing his family misery he never really wanted to cause them. But what was he to do with all his energy and thoughts, what was he to do with all the horrible bordedom? No matter what his family offered, it was too little for him! The kids after all had to go to school and their parents had to work, ending Tony up alone, alone with his mind running wild and again and again distroying and ruining things, straying and even getting into catnip.
Eventually it was so bad, his master began taking him with him wherever he went and this was when Tony discovered his master's hobby. The town's doctor was a hobby author of crime novels and so often would go talk to the police, ask curiously about all kinds of things happening in Canidale and Tony listened. He listened to the tales of murder among men, among animals and all other kinds of crimes that happened in the worlds of humans and animals alike and he was mezmerized!
He spent hours thinking about the things he had heard, not distroying things anymore or digging holes, his mind was occupied and he was happy. Also his family was happy, yet they eventually decided Tony had just grown out of his phase of distroying things and so Tony was left by himself again, while his humans had to work or go to school, eventually. Tony didn't mind though, he actually was almost glad, because with nobody around, he could go investigate himself and that was when his career as Canidae's consulting dog detective started out and about to solve problems nobody else could solve, helping to protect the dogs, humans and other animals.
Eventually, during a peculiar case involving the graveyard, another lucky coincidence happened soon after, with Tony getting to know the graveyard keeper's dog, Grim, who proved himself to be as intelligent as he was laid-back, but the same time very much interested in the tales of wild adventure and helping to protect their fellow dogs, the eccentric collie involved him in, without really asking for much permission from Grim's side. Since then the sleuthing duo is roaming Canidale, always up for a good case and possible adventure - if there is a question and no answer can be found, a danger to be taken care of, a criminal riddle baffling everyone, Tony and Grim are ready to help.

So Ramala and myself decided to try applying with a sort of dynamic duo of deducing dogs. ;3
Fingers crossed our boys get accepted, already have, like, tons of ideas for them!
And I wanna ArtRPG with Rams, it's been under a bad spell of sorts so far. Lol.

This dog is awesome and...clever. I would love to draw him for you one day, mainly because he has the folded ears . I found that folded ears are easier than pointy for some reason...but the furry ears on poodles and dogs like that is also fairly easy too...

Thank you. :3
Even though I plan to draw him a new sheet sometime soon, I don't like this one that much. XD
Haha, yeah, floppy ears with fluff on them are the easiest to draw. ;3

I wonder why that is, it's actually made drawing my one dog character easy (good because he's a sled pooch). Somehow I have to try several times for the pointy-ear, but sometimes not just for dogs. I also like that collies have scruffy fur which helps connect the head to the chin.
Update time? XD I bet he'll look nice either way, but won't he maybe have a few scars?
I want to snuggle with him now . Border collies are one of my favorite breeds, besides German Shepherds and Huskies.

I actually own a collie, so drawing them is easiest for me, since I know them like the back of my hand, thanks to him.
Yeah, he's actually supposed to look a bit more wirey and scruffy and less fluff, I guess.
Nah, why should he have scars? He's really good in the stuff he does and has long fur, even if he would have scars, they'd hardly be visible.
Haha, he sure wouldn't mind. ;3

Oh what's his name (rough collie? Border Collie? Smooth collie? (though, those ones are rather strange)). I had a collie once, a rough collie who is partially responsible for me getting my first broken bone (collar bone). But sadly he had to be put down due to a condition that is usually found in them...
Huh...good point. But if he's a detective and might be dealing with some of the tough dogs...unless he's witty enough to avoid that.

He's called Christoph, bi-black, but with a lot of black.
He's definitely witty enough and even if he'd earn some scratches, as I said, his fur's too long, you'd hardly see it, unless it's a HUGE scar. ;3

He sounds like a lovely dog and I bet he's smart. How old is he and do you use a nickname for him?
True, the perks of having a thick-pelt. But if he knows how to avoid trouble...then that is good for him .

Haha, yeah, since I knew Grim would be black, I thought I might give Tony some rarer color for borders, so they aren't a monochrome duo. Lol. ;3
