Description
So here's something new for a change. As always I've got about 5 projects on the go at the same time. This project got finished first because it's a project of passion - I freaking love RX7sThe base is a screenshot from Need For Speed Carbon. The style is supposed to be similar to that of the classic cell-shading racing game Auto Modellista but with a more updated look.
100% Photoshop Scalable Vector. Enjoy.
[26th November 06] Reuploaded image with slightly softer outline. Turns out i had two layers with the stroke setting so they were multiplying the edge into a mess.

I just hated the kits and spoilers for the rx7 in carbon though for me those are the worst. But anyways you did a Monster-like, fantastic and good job

I'm probably not the only one to notice this, but... it seems like the wheels have no dish to them whatsoever. There are no spokes.

Actually KravinMorhead spotted it too and you're both right. You should be able to see some spokes on the far-side rear rim, but there weren't any visible spokes in the screenshot and i couldn't be bothered to make any up. So whilst there is a lot of dish, you're right, there's no spokes.

Oh, cool. Still, great pic. I sold my copy of Auto Modellista... it was a fun game, and I wish a sequel was made, but it's way too easy, way too short, and it was hard to drift some cars.

Cheers Shant It's supposed to be a little more yellow than orange actually, but it has come out pretty orangey hasn't it!

Heh...I immediatly thought of Auto Modellista when I saw this...The gameplay sucked, but I loved the car customization and the cell shaded graphics the most; Kind of gave it an anime feel (I would mention Initial D here, but then I'd have to shoot myself )...
It's cool, and it's way beyond the talent I'm capable of, but the only thing bugging me is the rear driver's side wheel...I can understand if you're trying to give a "deep-dish" effect by giving the wheels a large offset, and it makes sense perspective-wise for the passenger side, but it doesn't look right from the driver side...A wheel of that offset, even if you look at it from that angle, you'd see the wheel, and not just the rim...
That's really it, though...Otherwise, bitchin' work, man...

donbenni In reply to KravinMorhead [2006-11-25 00:50:37 +0000 UTC]
You are correct about the rear-left wheel: you should be able to see some of the rim aside from the dish. However it wasn't in the original image (in fact it was just blackened out) and i couldn't be bothered to make it up!
Thanks for the comment and crit, always appreciated
