Vision
There is a very clear and recognizable theme here. Obviously very morbid and eerie situation and every component in here are suiting. The pose/angle adds much effect to the theme. The crosses shape is very fitting and is very gothic. I really like the black and white because it adds to the gothic feel of this picture. It almost seems as if it was a very nice grave stone, but I can see the raise in the ground so it couldnβt possibly be one.
Originality
This is a very interesting story and itβs fairly original. I havenβt seen much work quite like this or shown in this particular way. To take a picture like this and to have a nice idea like this one seems very different and I like that about this picture.
Technique
This here was done exceptionally well. As you angled the camera it adds more effect and a nice touch to the photo itself. The trees that are bare and covered with show seem very calm; this adds creepiness to the photo. The fact that you made this a black and white photo makes it all the better, and very nice. The snow adds sadness as some blend in with the black of the shadows of trees and the cross and as some of the snow is very well concentrated. The fact that there are no foot prints in the show lead to the deserted feel. The layers of stone that lead up to the cross add a powerful feeling as if it were king.
Impact
This was very well portrayed from the dark morbid black shadings to the white fluffy untouched snow. As the angle produces a nice feel and the trees and a mysterious feel, they both combine to make a very large impact. The creepiness of the trees and the black and white effect really made a huge impact because of how creepy and gothic it looks.
