this kind of thing is what i like to do for fun.James again; i forgot his labret ring this time, oh well. Bryce says the wash cuts off too abruptly and i should continue it to the bottom; i may yet.
it also is probably even slightly more saturated than this in real life, and the highlights in his hair are painted with iridescent acrylic because i like garish shit sometimes. i wish they hadn't discontinued Stonehenge because i love the way it holds wet media.
James belongs to ME please do not steal him, i don't know why you'd want him anyway.

Great usage of colors in this piece. I always appreciate people that can add unnatural colors to the face and still make it look natural! Takes a lot of skill in my eyes. Great piece!

There are a lot of different colors that skin can appear to be, depending on lighting and the thickness of the skin itself. I don't remember what resource it was exactly, but when I was in high school I remember seeing a chart that had to do with color mixing for shadows and that was what really inspired me to take the colors which do naturally occur in shadows - purple, green, etc - and exaggerate them.
