While I was excited to make a costume from Fallout 4, I couldn't narrow down what I wanted to make for DragonCon 2016. But after deciding to make my Nuka Cola blaster, I thought it'd be fun to direct that yet-untapped creative energy toward a new Deadmau5 head - my first actual "custom" head. I've stayed away from making custom heads in the past, though, as I've just always been interested in producing replicas of stage-worn heads. So when I was designing this one, I tried to think about what a "real" Fallout-themed head were to look like if there ever was one. Not only is it my first custom Deadmau5 head, it's also my first head built entirely out of the parts kit I've been developing. The kit utilizes a purchased polycarbonate 14" globe, and is assembled with various resin-cast fixtures I designed to make the whole thing come together. It's also my lightest build yet since there's no unnecessary reinforcement, and it's packing a pair of hollow, vacuum-formed ears.
