The uselesness of the body builders craft is akin to the mental agility of little practical application enjoyed by the 'idiot savant'. To have our form shaped though, by the obsessions that we undertake, is to create a wonderful landscape to explore. To enjoy the naked form as art is to grow beyond the human desires we feel. body building is no more useless than art. all means nothing in the end, but we do what we enjoy, no matter how you look at it, no matter what you do, everything is useless. So shaping our bodies by repeated actions may seem stupid to you, but taking photos of other people in aesthetic situations might seem stupid to other people. I didnt mind the photo until i read the first 2 lines of the comment.

I am just absolutely in love with the human body whether it be male or female...
In this particular case I find it to be male.
I really really like the play of the light on the contours and shapes of his muscles, defining them with shadow.

i really love the lighting in this - how the soft circle picks out the hard lines and lets the skin shine, highlighting the movement at the veins in the arms

I know I said the other one was my favorite, but this is so wonderful as well that I had to leave it its own comment. The light and the definition of the muscles, and the rigidity of the body combine well here for a very captivating piece. The gradation of light on the box adds an interesting element as well. Again, very well-done.
