The piece is gorgeous... it's not often someone manages to portray the tender side of dominance, especially not in a single shot like that. Utter control and gentle domination...
The hands... the hands are perfect. I think a lot of people have already said that.
And if I had had any concerns about the subject matter, the description would have addressed them perfectly.

I think this is a very powerful image you have here, but i dont know if it conveys the feeling of love
To me it seems more about repression and being told what to do. With the harsh black tape over the mouth, the other figure in the act of speaking (or appearing to speak anyway) and the hand on the throat suggests strangulation to me.
Or maybe I'm just silly!

Wow. For some reason, I really, really, really like this...and I don't find much wrong with the expression, I think it works...just the angle of the eyes, that's what's getting under my skin. I think it would have been better to have some expression to the eyes, staring back into the lover's. But either way...damn, this was a sexy shot, says so much...wow, nice job

Some people have made comments about S&M or dominance/submissiveness... I see nothing in this picture that indicates such roles. (I don't know if this was your intention, dougbtn, but...) All I see is a loving male couple lost in each other... There doesn't have to be anything aggressive or passive about either of them. They just love each other. Isn't that enough, sometimes?

This reminds me of two things: First, a friend of mine has a crush on this cute but oh-so-stupid guy, so she says that if she's ever in bed with him, she would have to say "Shhh... Don't speak..." to avoid anything stupid coming out of his mouth. Second, your description reminds me of a lecture/discussion I was at about SM.
