The show would certainly have kept my interest longer if there actually had been any female fighters in the show, especially saiyans. The only one I can think of was 18, and she was only shown briefly.

I'm sure they would have worn full armor, since I don't suppose sex appeal is the Sayan's number one concern. But since this was for pin up purposes, I decided to make her a bit sexier.
On the other hand, as Vegeta got stronger, he wore less and less armor, almost as in saying out loud he doesn't need it anymore. Maybe the stronger they are, the less armor they wear. If it's looked at it like that, I guess it could make sense.
