So the results are in. And I came in Second place!!!Freaking Awesome!!!

Too bad the Autobots are totally outclassed in this image.
Megatron,Shockwave, and Starscream against basically Optimus and Grimlock.
You take those "Big Three" from the Decepticons and the lack of warriors for the Autobots becomes almost immediately apparent.
Who fills in the void at 3rd spot for the Autobots?
Optimus Prime, Grimlock, and then who?
We're looking at the early generations, before things got crazy.
UltraMagnus isn't really a big deal. Skyfire looks aggressive but doesn't have the rep. All those cool cars don't get the job done (ie Prowl,Jazz, etc..)
Ironhide is just tough, not really a big gun.

I actually do the lines like that believe it or not because I'm lazy. Back in the day I used to be the biggest Jim Lee clone you ever saw. I'd crosshatch the hell out of every character and everything. Eventually when I started to color my own stuff I didn't know about layers and transparencies and all that, I simply fill-colored each area, so I started cleaning up the detail in my lines in order to be able to color more efficiently. After a while I simple stopped crosshatching and before I knew it I had my own line technique.
Speaking of colored, I can't wait either to see what they look like!!

Funny, I was the same way... As far as I was concerned, Jim Lee was the ultimate back in the day and I definitely emulated the style as well.
