Description
Protomorphic Flu one of the few Cybertonian Diseases to jump the CNA/DNA barrier, In humans it causes DNA to become CNA (seems to be the fanbase name for Cybertonian DNA) the conversion is rather...explosive as human bioform explodes into a protoform slime that seeks out technology to make a shell for him or her new self. Will likely move this to scraps rather than complete it Probably because I never REALLY figured out how the shell fully fits together into the car to the right.

Well, look at the animated versions, or I think there is people who drew out what the body morphing had to fit. Mind you these people also drew out reproduction organs for transformers, but it os pretty inevitable.

Oh my. This one would look mighty fun :3
Now what kind of base would one have? Mmmnnn. Oh, the possibilities.

Nice looking car. :3
Must be quite the experience. Sneeze, then suddenly become a protoform, then scan the closest compatible form. Oh my.
Does a killing on the commute though.

Heehee. True, but I couldn't help myself. ;3
I'll admit, part of me does wish to see more of this, I can only imagine the possibilities.
Ah, but I'm not the artist here, and al I'm doing is daydreaming.

BTW after reading the link, I was reminded the Starscream I actually liked was the one from the Armada Series.

"CNA" is an official term, believe it or not.
CNAβstanding variously for Cyber/Nano Algorithms[1] and/or Cybernucleic Acid[2]βis the genetic material that determines what Transformers are like. Tinkering with this material can be dangerous and can have long-lasting, negative effects. CNA contains a Transformer's hard-coded design schematics,[3] which, like genetic data, appear to be stored in the spark itself.
This is of course because Cybertronians (in most continuities) aren't just "built", they are proper life-forms, just not organic ones.

DPRagan In reply to Dragonshade [2013-05-11 01:37:37 +0000 UTC]
Sounds about right.
This seems to be Nano-Cybertonians(non-sentient) that replace DNA with CNA though (Not canon hehe) the effect is rather spectacular a human literally explodes into a Protoform(Slime) and bonds with nearby technology forming a protective shell.
Well that's what I'm going with.

It's an interesting idea, though protoforms are liquid metal, not really "slime". But yeah, cool idea.

Well, it's just an interesting twist on an old chestnut. There's been a lot humans-turn-into-Transformers stories over the years, but none that really involved Protoforms (outside of Sari Sumdac who is kind of a borderline case anyway).

"Probably because I never REALLY figured out how the shell fully fits together into the car to the right."
Uhm. You'd be in GOOD company. I STILL don't know HOW Arcee transformed from her 'Barbie-In-Skintight-Body-Armor' robot mode into that Ugly @$$ pink car mode.
Don't think her CREATOR knew EITHER...
As long as you're NOT doing this in 3D, hum a few bars & fake it, man!
Protomorphic flu...VERY cool Idea...
Wonder what would happen if a satyri got it....

Maybe it would be the opposite:
We have flat skin; when you become Satyri, you get shiny skin as the new normal...
Maybe the Nu-Cybertronian gets a perpetually (flat-) primered finish?
The newNEW normal?!
I dunno...
