Monika Kin is studying to be a journalist, currently attending Rostorf University.

Unusual for a journalist, she is quiet, non-confrontational and prefers to read other people's work than write it herself.

Monika's Affinity is over Fabric. Unusual for Affinities, she has the ability to both create a substance (Fabric, in this case) and control its movement, when most Affinities usually only allow one of those.

The reason behind her Affinity having an official name with an unusually loose definition (as the word Fabric can technically refer to any material) is because Monika has proven to be able to manipulate multiple different substances, which is unusual (but not unheard of). So far, she has been able to create and move wool and cotton and also move silk (but not create it).

Also unusual for someone who has an Affinity, Monika is not skilled in fighting and does not possess a weapon.

Unusual for a student, Monika is financially well off. She wears a custom-made tablet on her right arm (noting she is left-handed) that was built by the tech giant Divinity, owned by the Katrini family, the second richest family in the world. Monika had turned down an earlier offer by the other major tech giant Jupiter to build her a tablet. Her decision was based on reports of the sketchy practices of Jupiter's owners, the Falls family, the richest family in the world, though she did not dare say that out loud. The offers made by Jupiter and Divinity are unusual as it is very rare for either of the families to bend over backwards to satisfy a single consumer based on a throwaway post she made on social media. Monika is well-aware that both families are seeking to influence her due to her economically powerful Affinity. She has been more careful with what she has been saying since, to avoid getting involved in their cross-family spat.

Unusual for a well off student, her healthy finances are thanks to her Affinity, as she commissions fabric crafts, which requires only a little effort on her part. This is in contrast to other rich students of the university, such as Emma Katrini , who come from rich families.

Both Monika and Emma are aware of each other's attendance of the same university. However, they have never met nor communicated with each other, which Monika considers pretty unusual as she had expected Emma to aggressively push Katrini influence onto her. This scenario with Emma has not materialised in the slightest, which Monika is grateful for.

All in all, Monika and her situation is pretty unusual. Except for her studies. She's doing pretty average in that aspect.

I'm hoping to draw the other people in her clique but I know it takes me forever to do anything. *cries*
