Once Finley got home with Toby and her eggs, she immediately went to go check on Nox.
She was met with a heart wrenching scene of the quad collapsed on the floor.
Doing their best to not alert the child in the other room, Finley got to her knees and tried to wake Nox up. Gently shaking him and desperately whispering his name managed to wake the quad. His eyes fluttered open, a small dreamy smile on his face. The sick gro was obviously very out of it as he gently took her hand in his to give it a soft kiss.
"I'm glad you came" Nox croaked out as he laid his head back down.

The soft grip on Finley's hand went limp and he stopped responding to anything the pink gro said. He fell back into a slumber on the floor. She stood and wiped the tears stinging her eyes before closing the door and walking back out to the living room where Toby was. Doing her best to stay composed for the young wyngling, she went up to him and gave his head a pat.
"Toby... Your papa is gonna be okay, but I need to go get Dr. F, okay? He isn't in the best shape right now, so just stay here, please" Finley let out a shaky breath, doing her best not to cry and worry Toby even more. "I love you toby, Ill be back very very soon."

Dr. F has been treating Nox for around thirty minutes now, cleaning him up and giving him medication to ease his leaky glands.
Toby fell asleep on the couch snuggling against the warm eggs soon after the doctor came in, so it was just her and the medical expert.
The pink gro had a hard time focusing on what he was saying as he explained to her his condition and how to properly take care of the quad. Her eyes were glued to his exposed spine. The skin along his lower back was taught and showed every bump of bone that was trying to push its way out, bloody gauze lined the spines that were fully exposed now.

She couldn't take it anymore.
Tears began to fall from her eyes.
