Description EDIT// Please note, this was intended as a very quick tutorial for someone who was asking. I will update the image soon with a better explanation.

---

Brief. Lots of things not covered.
Make a new folder for your model- it keeps others from getting cluttered.

I assume that the other things on the third tab turn off physics on other parts.
Uploading this because it was sitting around in a folder.

Drachryn In reply to Foxes256 [2012-07-16 20:45:14 +0000 UTC]

; did you download that thing I told you about? You're sure it's the latest version? Which version of tso2pmd are you using?

I'm not an expert on these things and I'm not very good at reading Japanese. I'd guess that you need to be able to see the Japanese fonts on your computer, need the latest directx and an up to date copy of tso2pmd. I use an out of date copy, which works perfectly for me. I'm just a bit lazy about updating it. The version that I use may be uploaded in a reply on this deviation.... I've forgotten.

Hello ^^. The latest version can be found on the same uploader as the older ones. I use Tso2Pmd 0.1.6, so I cannot personally upload my copy for you.
I use Tso2Pmx too, but only if I don't plan on editing the model. ><

help, i only have BMP, PMD, SPH, and TGA file.
I don't have any Hardsave, TSO or tah files!

Also how do i use PMD files?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Drachryn In reply to Donalddesu [2012-06-20 06:48:57 +0000 UTC]

pmd files are opened in mikumikudance. Hardsaves are converted into the files you have. All you need to do is open the pmd file as a model in MMD.

Donalddesu In reply to Drachryn [2012-06-22 12:16:18 +0000 UTC]

Oh, darn.
Sorry, i just download the wrong file.
Finally, i have my pmd file and some random picture.

Drachryn In reply to Donalddesu [2012-06-22 13:17:27 +0000 UTC]

if the picture has a green background then it's a hardsave

Vixeria In reply to ??? [2012-06-04 03:57:49 +0000 UTC]

Okay, so this Tso2Pmd converts the files in order to put them into MMD, but is there a way to revert the process? As in, change that back into a hardsave?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Drachryn In reply to Vixeria [2012-06-04 09:54:23 +0000 UTC]

No
You'd need to completely rebuild the model in 3DCG.

Hangmen13 In reply to Drachryn [2012-04-04 13:32:53 +0000 UTC]

I'm using Tso2Pmd Ver. 0.1.2. I placed it inside a separate partition (Drive E) instead of placing it in the arcs folder (Drive C). Am I doing this right?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Drachryn In reply to Hangmen13 [2012-04-04 15:07:28 +0000 UTC]

I use Tso2Pmd Ver. 0.1.6 rc4

It's all on the same partition, and it's not in my arcs folder- it's in a folder on my desktop, works fine.

It could be your version of tso2pmd, or that it's on a seperate partition- try moving it onto the other part and then try again

Hangmen13 In reply to Drachryn [2012-04-04 18:02:56 +0000 UTC]

Picked up Tso2Pmd Ver. 0.2.4. Seems working now but some models get an unknown error, while some couldn't be converted for exceeding some sort of limit (65535 something). Oh well, it seems to work for a lot of hardsaves.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Drachryn In reply to Hangmen13 [2012-04-04 18:27:44 +0000 UTC]

Nn. The limit is to do with how much stuff you put on them in 3dcg- some clothes and things. To solve/improve limits, use a newer version. I used to have that problem with older versions.

If you remove some of the clothes from them, then they might meet the limit anyway ^^

Hangmen13 In reply to Drachryn [2012-04-04 19:38:29 +0000 UTC]

I don't see any other newer Tso2Pmd than what I just downloaded. Is it now upgraded to Tso2Pmx?

Drachryn In reply to Hangmen13 [2012-04-04 19:45:04 +0000 UTC]

Yes ^^
I'm uploading the version of tso2pmd that I use for you though. With this one, I've never ran into the limit problem..

Hangmen13 In reply to Drachryn [2012-04-04 20:15:47 +0000 UTC]

It did solve the problems, but with all the hardsaves. It seems some hardsaves I made are just too 'high end' to be converted into .pmd. I have to convert them to .pmx instead (which works), but now I gotta look for a .pmx editor. Anyway, thanks a lot for your help and suggestions. It really gave me a kickstart with MMD. I usually do screencaps (heavily edited) for 3D Custom Girl but I'm now trying to venture a bit into MMD. Since I'm using DA for my cosplay stuff, I used Pixiv instead to upload all my 3DCG works (be warned, some things are NSFW!): [link]

Drachryn In reply to Hangmen13 [2012-04-04 21:17:06 +0000 UTC]

Apparently there is a version of PMDe that works with pmx files, but I haven't been able to get it- I think the download broke for me.

Thank you for the link. I'll stalk your pixiv ^^

You have to have the XP patch installed and I think you press shift or control- hold it down when you click save.
