"Trans...mutate."I dare to to watch "Transmutate" and not get all choked up. I. Dare. You.
Of all the ones for me to draw, "Why Transmutate?" will probably buzz through the heads of you TF-fans out there. Simple. I drew Rampage. Transmutate served to provide a nigh complete monster like Rampage with some very, very powerful moments, and so, deserves a spot.
I tried to make Transmutate look misassembled, to add to the "damaged/mutated" feel. I also consider Transmutate a she, personally, but I had no gender really in mind when drawing this.
"Do not speak. None shall hurt you now. Come with me, come. I will protect you...I am your friend. Your only friend." ~Rampage, breaking from his role as nightmare fuel to become a big brother to a kindred spirit.
Transmutate also gave Silverbolt the only scenes where I ever truly respected the character.
"Friend...good . Friend...dark . I...am...hurt."

Im watching the hole of beast wars on netflix they just added it recently and the death of dino bot then right after it this episode im getting to be a teary mess. nice pic

I agree, transmutate brought out a whole other side to rampage. she showed what lay beneath all his pain and darkness. A side that perhaps even he did not know existed.

they should have done that it would of made his character more powerful and well give it more depth. If they showed him taking a moment to remember her and a moment to show his earth breaking loneliness.... that there is a powerful character

I cried during Transmutate. Trufax.
Transmutate has always been one of my favorite characters. She was beautiful in a very surreal way and despite her obvious mental and physical deficiencies, she managed to be a very deep and intriguing character. I was horrified by her death as well as humbled. She looks simply awesome here. You captured the tfa design perfectly and made her look mitchmatched but still complete just as she did originally. Terrific job.

Despite only appearing in one episode, Transmutate was my favorite character in the whole show.
Rampage was dark and twisted, but in one episode they shared a connection that I honestly feel could've changed Rampage for the better.
I've always wished she could've survived that explosion. Not just because I liked her, but for Rampage's sake as well.

Aye, Transmutate was a great episode and surprisingly well done character. Gave Silverbolt one of the few moments where I genuinely respected the character, and gave Rampage a good bit of a sympathetic depth to his character.
Admittedly, I couldn't see Transmutate as lasting too long if the ending was alterred to have her survive that explosion.

I thought her death was too touching to undo. She did give Rampage and Silverbolt great developement, though, so it would have been nice to have a longer stay.

It's why I've given her the Animated treatment. If I was making a story out of this, she'd be around longer to give Rampage more depth. ^^

Transmutate's only gender indication came from a cast section of the episode script, were it mentions "...and a face that vaguely indicates it is female." Transmutate's always described with gender-neutral pronouns, even in that description, so canonically, she's an "it".
...I think she's a girl, though.

I go with voice and that script-slip to justify calling Transmutate a girl.
Always good to add to the fembots when ya can. After all, if I keep this up, it'll only be Blackarachnia and Airazor in this whole thing.

I never figured Transmutate as favorite material, but did provide a hell of a nice episode for Silverbolt and Rampage.
