Digital painting / shading tutorial part one of threePage one~ Basics- this
Page two~ Texture- pending
Page three~ Colour- pending
I made this for Photoshop, but no reason it cannot apply to other digital art programs.
mind my manic thought processes, i hope it makes sense, but thats how it all works to me ^^"

please finish this series, I would love that one on texture as well. People say itΒ΄s easy to make textures, yet it really is quite difficult imo. Especially for example glossy materials, transparent materials and organic materials just to name a few
This shading tutorial is really great, and probably the only one where IΒ΄ve actually seen how it can be incorporated into an actual picture, not just showing the classical shaded cylinder and nothing else. This actually shows how the shaded cylinder can be implemented into the work, makes it much easier to understand

oh dont worry, after a while, it becomes second nature! its when the materials get involved you have to start thinking about it
