Description
I'm taking 's coloring tutorial and this was the first assignment. I chose not to use flesh-tones for her skin, and used purple instead, not sure why.. guess I like the colors purple and teal-green together.I had to use Adobe Photoshop Elements for this, because I don't have Painter, and I also used a mouse because, at the moment, I haven't a tablet. it took some time to figure out how to paint this in a similar way to her tutorial, but I finally figured out if I put the opacity of my brush to about 15% and just kindof dot it on, I can create a graduated-shade look kindof like the way the tutorial said to do, then I used the smudge tool to blend the dots together, just picked a spot and wiggled a little back and forth, didn't drag the color too much.
I did break one rule, I have all her skin on one layer, but her clothing and other parts are on other layers.
I don't think the darks of her skin are are enough, I really did try to up the contrast though, it's higher than in alot of my other works, that's for sure...
anyway, here we are...
