I am not some kind of pro at gimp, on the contrary, but I really hope you guys will find this at least one bit helpfull, and if you have any questions pleas ask me

Okay, I just wanted to make sure so I don't seem like some evil witch, lol.
The thing I noticed first was the quality and the coloring. The text is really blurry at parts. I also think it would be better if it had kinda a set background instead of just the GIMP windows open all the time in the back. You know what I'm talking about? I feel like I'm explaining myself badly. It would make it easier to see the text, if you know what I'm talking about.
That's pretty much it, though. Other than that, good tutorial.
Oh, and I just wanted to note that when you started talking about textures and it was in Google I was getting ready to write about crediting because most people forget, and you didn't! O: Lol. That makes me happy. It drives me crazy when people don't credit.

yeah, I know that - I actually made it a lot bigger (and clearer) but had to shrink it cause dA didnt want to take the file size :/ but the beckground thing is a good idea! it didnt come to my mind, and probably it would be a lot clearer then just inserting text like I did
that is perfectly fine, I am glad that it helped and glad you came to tell me what you think I can improve, especially since it is my first tutorial
haha, yeah, I am attending school where they are very strict about plagiatorism so I was "raised" to credit, so to say

^-^ if you practise a little you can ;D a few years ago i could only dream about guys i was always drawing girls everyday XD haha but i started to draw boysa and really they looked sooooo terrible ^-^ !

what -particularly- was not working for you?
you create new layer with click on the "white sheet of paper" icon in the bottom left corner of your layer window (the one I had on right side of the screen)
keep in mind that new layer you want to color on needs to always be UNDER the one with lines
I will be more then happy to help you, just ask away and I hope I will be able to solve your trouble
