It's fiiiinnneeeeeeeeshed!Ugh, when I said that I would have this picture done in a 'few days' after posting the WIP, I had forgotten how long it takes me to do backgrounds.
I HATE rocks! BUT, I'm actually happy with how they turned out this time, shockingly enough. I think I might have finally figured out a style that looks semi-good on them!
Anyway, here she is. Tyrannica, finally drawn in a full-body portrait.
I really enjoyed this one a lot, and it was more fun than I expected experimenting with her design and the pose. Is this really my first time drawing a dragon lying down? 
Maybe next I should try one flying. (EDIT: Derp, no it's not.

When I was talking about tinting the rocks purple, I meant to say that you might do that where only the crystals shine on them, ssince there would be no white light to drown it out.

(...which would mean that I'm SO screwed...

Anywho, that face.... the expression... that CLAW! Β O_O all very well composed! Β It embodies her quite nicely, I think.
The shadows bug me though... they seem like they shouldn't be quite so dark in the light of the crystals... Perhaps if you tinted the rock purple just slightly where the crystals shine on it, it wouuldn't seem off...
Aside from that, I like how you've done the background. Β The white-out where the rocks open up looks awesome, and it makes the arrangement very effective. Β Maybe I'm just different, but when I look at the picture, my eyes are first drawn to the white-out, then to the claw, then down her forleg to her tail-blade, then up the crystal and back left along the slope of her wings... so that the devious expression is almost the last thing that draws my focus when I let my eyes wander where they want to... The affect is rather strtling, I think.
Oh, and those wings... look awesome! Β I wish I had your sense of how they should fold! Β

Haha, that's definitely something she would say.
Yeah, I had a hard time getting the shadows so that I was somewhat satisfied with them with the multiple light sources. I did try to give the highlights on the ground and background rocks more of a purple tint to them around the crystal, but I do see that having just a general purple colouring to them in those same areas would have been a good thing to do. Thank you for pointing that out. It's a small enough change that I may end up posting an update. We'll see.

Hmm, indeed... My head-canon was that poison-users are immune to all kinds of poison, now that I think of it.

Yeah, I remember that. I think I'm one step down from that - poison users can't be hurt by their own poison, and are more resistant to others' but not immune.
Well, that's a relief, because that's what I had intended. She is still purple, but very much on the indigo side of it.

It is really nice! She looks as if she has somethign planning within her mind and she looks smug about it. ANyway, she looks different than what i expected. She looks darker than nexus... or is is just the lack of light makign me see that? And the red color on her nose tip... it seems odd.

Her colouring is supposed to be a bit darker than Nexus's, yes, but the shading does affect it certainly. As for the markings, those are just a random result of experimentation that I rolled with when first coming up with her design.

That explains why the crystal seemed to fit her well - it's dark.
Just a question; is this a sort of screen-shot of when she found her base in Snare of Darkness?

I'll keep that in mind. I've sort of envisioned it as a power that a user can imbue parts of their body with without it coming out as an actual liquid, but that's just how I see it. Poisonous gas is a good idea, though. 
I wouldn't call it a screenshot per say, but that's where it's set, yes.

So, is the glowing like a thin layer of poison? If she was to allow that claw to touch the ground, with the poison still imbued on it, would the sturdy rocky ground melt for a few moments under her paw? Or would something else happen?

The way it works in my mind is that there's no actual physical poison on the claw, its just that the claw itself has BECOME poisonous, so if it were to touch anything then yes, the poison would start to act on it. If she were to use it on another dragon then some poison might actually enter their system too. It all depends on how she wants to use it.

No worries. Maybe it would help if instead of thinking of the glow coming from any actual poison, that the glow is just a manifestation of the elemental power that she's channeling into the claw. The claw is still just like the rest of her claws, but if it touches anything then the stored up power she's put in it would transfer into that object (or person) and begin affecting them. So there's no actual poison present, just the THREAT of it.

I'm guessing that this poison is similar to the norm, in that the user can change the poison to not always be lethal, like what Cynder used on Spyro when his scar was acting up?

Tyrranica looks a mite more...insidious than Nexus, that's for sure. It's most notable in the markings, seeing as they're a lot darker than Nexus's.
