Photoshop CS5. I did the pouncing Godzilla first and I thought, "Who should Godzilla be pouncing on?" My Mom suggested a teddy bear, I thought that might be funny but maybe another kaiju would be more appropriate.

Baragon came to mind and I've always thought Baragon to be that combo of cute and badass. One of the things that got me into Godzilla as a kid was the NES game, Godzilla, King of the Monsters. In the booklet that came with the game, I used to look at the other monsters in the game and Baragon reminded me of a Triceratops (my fave dinosaur!) However I never got very far in the game so I don't think I ever saw him in the game until I used a cheat code years later. If you've ever played the game you know that there is a lot of kicking mountains and punching rockets before you ever get to the other kaiju.

Nonetheless, I was fascinated with the creature designs and the opportunity to play as the monster, so thanks to that game and the Mattel Shogun Godzilla I played with at my Grandma's house, I'm a fan of kaiju to this day.

In this illustration it's kind of an inverse of the scene in GMK when Baragon launches at Godzilla. This isn't supposed to be a scene from GMK, the Godzilla is kinda Heisei/Millenium hybrid I guess.
