Description Seriously, guys,

This took a heck of a long time to make.
Don't push it by asking for a background.

I might do a coloring one. But maybe not today. *faints*

This tutorial is quite useful, but I have a question...

Once I was done with my lineart, I wasn't sure how to get rid of the gray checkered background. Just how do you do that?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

dragonsnouts In reply to weasel-girl [2009-10-09 10:31:41 +0000 UTC]

It's not a background, it's just telling you that you DON'T have a background, and when you save it to a .GIF or .PNG file, the gray checkered area will be transparent. :3

Yes, when I posted it up on scraps, I copied it to paint to check it out. All I got is black...

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

dragonsnouts In reply to weasel-girl [2009-10-09 21:54:13 +0000 UTC]

I've had that too. X3 Actually, I think it's because it has a transparent background. Most images, when they have transparent backgrounds, will fill that transparency in with black when you paste it on a photo editing program.

...That I can't help you with, sorry. X3 It's probably because of the dA coding, or something; I'm not very good with that stuff.
Try downloading it, then copying and pasting again? :3

Your tutorial is the most useful I've seen so far...but I have one question.
When I outline my drawings, they come out very rough and with spaces between the outlines...they just don't look smooth.
Any tips?

dragonsnouts In reply to LottaLocomotion [2008-06-20 00:13:49 +0000 UTC]

Hm...

I may have the answer, but could you take a screenie of you situation for me? Then I could get the full scope of the situation.

And I'm glad I could help. :3

squirrelxo5 In reply to dragonsnouts [2008-02-23 16:34:30 +0000 UTC]

lol, I could have figured that out. >.<
I don't have ms paint, either, though. I just have regular paint. Which is crap. Very mega crap.

dragonsnouts In reply to squirrelxo5 [2008-02-23 16:37:46 +0000 UTC]

Paint?
I don't think I've heard of that program. X3 But, MS Paint is giga crap.

squirrelxo5 In reply to dragonsnouts [2008-02-24 03:15:06 +0000 UTC]

xD Well, I would rather have that then regular Paint. I can't do much of anything with Paint. I shall have to ask for Gimp next time we go to the computer store.

No, gimp is a free program. :3 You download it to the computer, that's all.
I forgot the site link to it though. XD
