Description
The Emerocharia is a large aquatic organism belongs to the Trischizognathids group, a very extended fish like organisms inhabitants of the planet Uferia, a very tropical planet with 85% of its surface covered by water, being at 80 light years from earth. Despite its similar appearance to the earth aquatic vertebrates known as fish, it differs quite a lot from them anatomically, being somewhat convergent to some groups of annelids and mollusks in some degree, it lacks any kind of complex inner skeleton of some kind, possessing just a series of cartilaginous rib-like structures that divide the body into 10 segments and the rest of the body being supported by muscles and adipose tissue. This as most of the Trischizognathids have 3 pairs of fleshy fins that occupy the pectoral, pelvic and anal region of the organism, and at the same time owns 4 rows of plates that form the dorsal, ventral and caudal fin; the head has 2 pairs of compound eyes on the sides of the head, which come out in four small rows of orange electroreceptors and the mouth is structured in two parts, the first one being the major jaw formed by three huge beak-like mouthparts which are the only hard structures in the body of these organisms, and the second being a small radial mouth with several tentacles, which keeps retracted most of the time.
The Emerocharia is one of the largest predators of Uferia, with about 8 meters long, and weighting around 9 tons.

I like how it's recognizably fish-like but still distinctly alien! Sounds like a paradox but it works.

Interesting creature. Is the planet Uferia something you plan to do a lot with?

Thanks.
Probably, sometimes I tend to spontaneously make these concepts from different worlds and in a way join them little by little, until I get enough material to make a planet
