A species so young as the humanity could hardly understand the matter of living in a universe at the end of its existence, an environment almost devoid of light, where stars and galaxies have died down completely, where the only way to see it through other spectra as infrared light or microwave. A darkness that consuming the last drops of heat and life of the cosmos in its finite destination.

With the unveiling of the multiverse for part of mankind, and the infinite worlds, this gives a really important question: there are also universes in this stage of inminent death? This idea comes from the fact that the multiverse to be a flow of realities with no beginning or end, should be a number of previous universes of great antiquity, and probably on the brink of their life cycle. After several years of searching, humans were able to find the first D.E.U. (Decayed expansive universe).

The first probes only survived for a few minutes because the physical and thermal conditions stopped the equipment, showing a little about the conditions of the D.E.U, is a place of extreme cold and partially dominated by hawking radiation, implying that only black holes have survived and it was the begining of the era of such objects. Subsequent to these analyzes, new probes were sent, more resilient and able to withstand longer against such conditions. When the probes entering into the space of the D.E.U., these had managed to last for much longer, sufficient to capture data, and some unexpected surprises.

At first the probes were successful to capture the sings of a black hole, distorting the radiation, but apparently covered a spherical net structure, which in a way that captured the radiation "evaporating". The unexpected things began to highlight immediately when the probe captured several semi-spherical structures orbiting around the black hole, the spherical interconnected network. When the probes descended to one of the spheres, they registred that gravity in such bodies had a huge force that was comparable to that of neutron stars, however, this structure seems to have been forged from such materials because these showed an artificial origin. Other than that, it had identified an "atmosphere" comformed by unidentifiable fluids and compounds.

When all could not get any weirder, the probes capture what they identified as "life", but not life as we know, not based by any organic compound, but somehow life.
These "organisms" composed of a substance which was given nickname "ultra-cold plasma", had a similar appearance to fungus and absorbed radiation was the black hole captured and transported to the fields. These entities showed many of the functions of common life as organization, metabolism, growth, adaptation, etc.

While the probes mobilized around the "field" with the weird life, they began to show failures in the reception of data due to a nearby source of interference, which increases when such interference approaches to the probes. After that portion of the interference partially cleared, the sensors captured images of two people, calculated with a length of almost 30 meters high, with a prominent giant body structure, from which protruded a strange column-like limb, with many roots at the end of this one. Such entities also were recognized as "life", however, this is able to move freely. During the minutes of stillness among such agencies, probes managed to register a type of communication based on microwave and radio waves from them, based on different frequencies at different times. What made it more relevant patterns were recorded that were achieved, exposing complexity and showing advanced cognitive abilities.

Trying to mobilize the probes to take a better look of these beings, one of them manages to catch, and abruptly, such contact causes an overload, leaving them useless and ending definitively the transmission.

After this contact, the vision of the future of this universe, and humanity itself changed completely for admire that even the edge of the cosmic extinction, life would still be able to overcome such hostile conditions, and in a way, thrive. Although there is no complete conclusion of what has been found, captured and analyzed, we can simply infer that something is living and building their civilization in the final remnants of that universe, however, it left many questions to answer.

The final thing, after analyze the parts during the overload caused by such entity, some of the information and programming of the machines was hacked and a modified and in a way organizing in a few understandable words...
