Description
Here's a close-up of the Victorian Scrollwork on my sister's checkbook cover.Carved and tooled on 2-3oz leather.
Carving time: 4.5hours
Color: 1 coat block out, 3 coats super shene, Mariner Blue stain
All that's left is the lining and lacing!!
PS: My fingers look like I killed a Smurf.

this is beautiful, i actually wanted to let ya know i kinda borrowed this to help draw scrollwork on a gun im drg XD but overall great detail, im not near this skilled in anything

I just showed it to my mother, and she's floored by it, too - all the details... and she just asked when I was going to get that good, because she wants a small purse done like that

this is fantastic! what intricate curves and swirls! wow- that blue is devine! do you mind if i ask where you got the stain? i wanted a blue like that for some lady armour i am trying to make, but cannot find it in the waproo brand colours

And it's actually Eco Flo Mariner Blue from Tandy Leather... (TandyLeatherFactory.com). It's an All-In-One so it self-seals, and After application I buffed with a damp paper towel.. was also using a thinner leather so it didn't pick up as dark as a color.
