Abigail marched down the barn aisle way with nothing but fierce determination. She had her game face on that could give a grown man the shakes. Her stern scowl was not to be taken lightly. She was a young lady that meant business. When those brows dropped, she was already three steps ahead of the next guy.
She found her target mucking out a stall with his muddy boots on like they were just a normal part of life. Which they should not be in Abigail's opinion. That aside, she announced herself loudly and clearly, "Mr. Barraway . I have come bearing a letter for you written by myself. I want you to read it carefully and choose your answer wisely." She shoved out a little envelope sealed with wax with fancy 'AB' initials. She huffed with determination, holding her ground, masking her nerves that were shaking underneath the facade.

The letter read as:

'Dear Mr. Barraway,

I, Abigail Diana Burton, would like to cordially extend a splendid proposal for your consideration. With great enthusiasm, I have accepted to enter the 2018 Pony Olympics, on behalf of my father’s request. I have been granted a steed of excellent lineage and stupendous record, proven to be sound, intelligent, and trustworthy.

This being said, I find myself lacking one key element if I am to do well as an individual and representing the family name. As you know, I cannot afford to fail either as they are both equally important to me. Fabian Barraway, I extend the offer for you to participate along with me as my faithful team member; an ally, my coach.

You have proven over the past to be a very reliable companion to my father, Dave Burton. You have done no harm to the Burton family name and I believe on more than one occasion have supported our cause in establishing a prestigious name. Working under your tutelage, I have come to understand the trust my father has put in you. I believe you understand my passions in the sport and my goals for this competition. Therefore, among many candidates, I believe you are by far the most adequate.

With the sincerest request in place, I eagerly await your decision. I graciously hope for your support during this endeavor.

The longer Abigail waited for his response, the more nervous she got. She wanted a coach to help her through her first big show. The other smaller shows didn't matter. This was the Olympics. Her daddy, Dave Burton , had registered her as a sorry for being a crap dad and missing out on her riding lessons. He even got her an adorable pony which Abigail couldn't help but love. She knew he was super sorry just by the look of the small mare. Her and Daniel agreed on the name 'Stickers' for her because of all of her spots littered all over her body. She was adorable. Even her big floppy mohawk that could not be tamed when Dave tried to shortened it up. Apparently, being related to the legendary, Abalone, hair was not something that could be controlled.
Abigail waited for him to finish reading. She looked up to him with a pleading smile, "So what do you say, Mr. Barraway? Will you do it? You'll help me, right?"
