Edit: Okay, uh, kind of made it transparent but left a border (I did try to erase around her hair but... blegh.)Honest opinion, guys, is it better like this, or just left with a white bg?
P.S.; new title that's been up for a while (just in case you saw it when it first popped into your inboxes, XD) I like it much better. I wish I had thought of it ahead of tiiime~
Just because I feel I haven't coloured for a while, I finished one of those sketches that I posted earlier, yup.
She'll be my monster girl of the month for June, I think. Since I can't imagine designing any more with the time I have currently. XD
I'm thinking her name is Flossie. Because, how those highlights scanned (read: very boldly) made me think of candy. And that led to candy floss. Which isn't shiny but... yeah.
White background because... that hair! I really don't want to have to deal with that right now, transparency always kills the hair I draw unless I invest more time in hand erasing it than I did drawing, inking and colouring it.

She's actually based of of the vampyroteuthis, which is my favourite cephalopod. Good guess, though! n_n

Excellent work, as usual. I love the way the skin looks so slippery. I'm going to guess that she is a vamproteuthis, the vampire squid, because of the tentacle webbing and spines

Thank you very much! The highlights actually have more of a wet, slippery look in person. I find it rather funny as she looks almost candy coated in this scan by comparison. XD

Yeah, they're my favorite of all aquatic animals, if only for their name and appearance. You draw anthro cephalopods REALLY well.

I'd take a guess as to which cephalopod she is based off of but all I can think of is the giant squid n_n;

Thanks so much! I tried to cut back on the white space a bit just to remove that boxed-in feel, leaving a border so her hair isn't ruined. I'm hoping it looks a bit better this way. c:>
