Just try to think of it like The Zelda CD-i games, they fall outside the timeline and aren't significant to the overall chronology, anything that happens in those games don't affect the timeline in anyway, and while it would be fun to imagine ways for it to be real, it's pretty much impossible due to the time settings

So unfortunately, characters like Lana and Cia don't exist, but thankfully characters like The Hero of Koridai and King Hadarkian don't either!

CD-i Non canon for a whole different reason
Anyway I took it that Lana and Cia do exist, just outside the timeline itself 
When they where whole they where Observers after all

Well, the CD-i games aren't canon simply because everyone hates them, they weren't made by Nintendo for one thing, but the main reason is because Nintendo decided not to include them in the series canon.

That could be the case, But again, it's mainly there lack of significance in the actual Timeline that makes them non-canon characters.

Yeah the derpyness of the OOT stalchildren is just a better fit for her then the realistic ones from TP
Also I don't think the TP Darknut count as the undead but they make her amry look dignified
