Kicks are hard to draw.If you look through aaaaall my pics, chances are you won't find a single pic involving kicking. Not that I haven't tried, mind, just that they usually take a one-way trip to El Dustbin.
This one started out more sane. Her supporting leg was, you know, kinda vertical, so she actually had support and balance and stuff.
It looked really boring.
So I figured I'd exaggerate the hell out of it. True, now she looks like she's going to fall over right after the moment captured in the picture, but at least it looks interesting!

Good job with the stancing, the only problems i see with it is the rear foot points too forward and the left arm is too low.
Generally in kicks the back leg is perpendicular to the ground, like this:

It's also ideal to keep the person's head level parallel to the ground.

really nice job on the pose. looks like its missing the intention though if that makes sense like shes swinging her leg but no force behind it. aside from the points before about the balance when/ if you decide to colour it if you shade the leg to look as if the thigh muscles are pulling the leg if that makes sense?

True, but that's how kicks suppose to look... because in reality her unsupporting head should land somewhere (like somebodies head XDD) and give her some supposrt and motion to regain her balance XDDD.

Another reason this kick looks unnatural and why it seems she's about to fall over is because her right leg is simply too stretched. If her right leg was more vertical (and twisted, as Kazimaru already stated), it would look much more natural and actually balanced, lol.
Afterall, a person must stay balanced, so when the left leg goes up, the upper body must go in the opposite direction. Thus the person should be Y-shaped. Yours is more y-shaped, which is why it looks like she's about to fall: it's not a balanced shape.

Ah, kicks are some where if you pause anywhere in the process of the movement, it just inevitably looks awkward, you have to REALLY exaggerate in the right places in order to get it right.
I dont know what kind of kick you were aiming for, but the kicking leg looks like a side-kick, so im gonna critique based off of that
I think maybe her body should be twisted more behind her, with her lower arm on the other side of her leg. If her back were facing the kick, and she was looking over her shoulder at it, that would give a nicer effect. The supporting leg should twist with it, so it looks natural.
One of the reasons this looks awkward is that the toes on both her feet are pointed in the same general direction. and very rarely in any kick in general does the supporting foot face forwards.

Wow amazing. Im not that good with kicks, and your right, a regular kick looks boring, but this exaggerated kick is awesome!
