Miss Hira suggested that I post this, and who am I to resist the opportunity for some slightly belated comical mushiness? I actually drew it on the day in question, partly because I heard about the practice on the news, and partly because it just seemed like an awesome idea and a good excuse to draw a sappy sentimental picture with some amusing daftness thrown in for good measure.

From the artistic side of things, I know that I have a terrible habit of drawing "meaningful" pictures (or pictures where anything is happening, really) from a dead side-on viewpoint, perhaps because it's easy, perhaps because it's clearer, perhaps because I used to do it endlessly when I was a kid... and I know it should probably only be a scrap, but hey - not like I was posting a huge amount in my main gallery anyway!

And yeah, the proportions are a bit off, but I liked it anyway.
