This seems like a bit of an anticlimax after some of the other things I've drawn recently. I had a random idea for a pose, doodled it out, and then was entirely unsure about who or what I actually wanted it to be.Perhaps not the smartest thing in the world.
Eventually I decided that some kind of generic magic-wielding person would be a nice idea, but even then I wasn't exactly overwhelmed with ideas for the outfit, so... uh... yeah.
At least there are lots of straps and flaps! She must get caught in doors a lot.

Very cool design for the clothes, and a nice pose. Figure is a killer too. I definately agree with your though that it seems to give off the impression of "what is she doing?"
Other than that its really cool. If it was put into context I think that that wouldn't be an issue.

emmm, ive been wondering, did you in any chances, had your own webpage consisting your drawing for many years??? cause, a year ago, i think i've seen a web page containing galleries of drawing, and the style, and the lineart coloring is just perfectly the same as you

ok well im not one to give advice specialy since your better and been doing art longer then i have been on this site but maybe to offset the arm imbalence you could place an orb of power like smocking fire or lightning.... posibly ice but that a little harder to compose with the outfit she is wearing....... anyhoo.... i love this one regardles... ^_^ good work!

That last line about the "straps and flaps" just reminds me of that line from Futurama.

You are allways really good at drawing woman ^^ but one thing bothers me a bit.
her front hand seems to be the same size or maybe a bit smaller than the hand in the back.

Hawt. Your style reminds me a little bit of Ushihara, the guy who did the infamous Plastic Little anime way back in the olden days, only your eyes are more realistic.

There is something about the forshortening on the arm on the left of the image that feels just a tiny bit off.

I think you mean Satoshi Urushihara... and aside from displaying that I'm horrible and pedantic, I guess that would also show that I'd consider him to be one of my influences, during my earlier years anyways if not quite so much now :3

Satoshi was one of those artist whose style I loved, but sort of kept at a distance because of his penchant for having unnecessary nudity or nipples that seemed able to poke through eighteen layers of clothing. While his stuff always looked awesome, I constantly wondered just how cold his female characters had to be. Srsly, you could hang towles on his interpertations of female boobs.
