Description This is my steampunk version of the Hydro Canon in Nerf's Super Soaker line. I saw it in the stores and just thought it would be perfect for that old fashioned steampunk design. Especially with the retro style barrel design that defines the whole canon. Anyway, steampunked it; any questions? Comments? Concerns?

buy it here, you silly person: [link]

Very sexy. Might I ask what paints/colors you are using? I may try to repaint my Nerf Alpha Trooper with your color scheme, as it is very sexy.

Well, answering that question gets a little complicated. For one, I custom mix some of the paints myself, but also, it's a little difficult for me to reveal the secrets behind my work, since I am trying to make a living by selling my skills. (sorry) However, I am working on a steampunk alpha trooper right now (amidst other projects as well), and if you are interested in purchasing one from me, please message me. I even have a number of stocks available to be included as well, if you would like.

I may have to take you up on that offer as a Christmas gift. How much would a stockless and accessoryless (aka straight out of the box) one be? Also, what about with a Raider stock?

I love how it looks, but the orange of the shield is off putting.
Krylon makes this,

and I still have to check but I'm 90% sure its see through because it's a finish, not an actual paint.
I think just using either the gold or the red, possibly the silver, on the shield would help it.
Just a personal preference.

Yes the orange is a bit, well.... I just haven't found a way to get around the orange shield. And while your link didn't seem to work for me, it looked like you were trying to redirect me to some of krylon's xmetals paints, of which I have a decent amount of experience with, and I'm not sure how they would mix with the orange coloring of the shield (i didn't paint it, it came like that, and I anything else would just look orangish-red or orangish-purple and in the end, I think it will just look messy).
