Description
  Boys and booze. That’s the promise Raziel had been given as incentive to accompany two of his friends to their first ever visit to a strip club. Their club of choice was the “No-Wear Wolf”, a nightspot whose humorous name betrayed its upscale interior and decent reputation, and who specialized in - you guessed it - werewolf dancers. Raziel had never frequented this particular bar, but his deep knowledge of the city as well as his spiderwebs of networking informed him of its notoriety as a spot frequented by those looking to indulge less… savoury desires, in a legal manner, but nonetheless one worth considering. In any case, it would certainly supply him with boys, booze, and perhaps a little unwinding from the week’s particularly strenuous slew of meetings.

  Long before the first hour had passed in the nightery, however, Raziel found himself alone on the floor, his friends each happily occupied with their own dancer. He doesn’t mind; his drink is good, the music’s not bad, the boys are lovely to look at, and evidently his ‘shy’ friends found what they came for.

  The isolation doesn’t last long, however. One particular dancer had been eyeing Raziel from the stages for some time, and at the moment he takes the opportunity between songs to swap to the pole directly in front of Raz. He’s pale, with tousled ginger fur and tail, dark arms and paws, and when the music picks up again, Raziel notes that the eyes fixed solely on his own are an almost glowing gold. They remain on him throughout the routine, as Raziel hands him bill after bill, music fading into the backdrop as the boy seems to lose track of everything else, and dance for Raz and Raz alone. It doesn’t take long for him to notice that the colourful plumes and shapes of neon pink or blue accompanying the song are not part of the club’s lightshow, but detonating from the foxlike dancer himself. He’s as incredible an illusionist as he is a dancer.

  When the current song at last reaches its end, a pointed look arrives on the foxy face, complimented by a half-bitten lip and a tilting of the head. He leans down from the stage towards Raziel’s face. “I’ll give you a discount if you take me to one of the back rooms right now.” His voice is as low as can still be heard in the bustling room.

  “Keep the discount,” Raziel replies, but rises. “I don’t underpay for good work.”

  The dancer squints at him, then deftly leaps down to land on the floor next to Raziel. He takes his arm and guides him towards the back. “Do you have a name, love?”

  “Raziel.”

  “Mmm, a lovely name for a lovely centaur. Sounds like an angel, as I’m sure you are,” he says with a playful giggle. “You can call me Zenko.”

  “God you’re good.” Raziel is nearly lightheaded, every sense full of the gorgeous boy in front of him.

  “Why thank you, darling,” Zenko says with a fluttering of those lovely red-framed eyelashes. “You’re not too bad yourself.” He winks. Raziel reaches into his wallet and passes a second wad of bills to Zen, who accepts the pay almost distractedly. “You know,” he says. “... I’m off in twenty minutes. If you’d like a bit of an… extended performance.”

  Raziel raises an eyebrow. “Oh?”

  “On the house,” the soft voice murmurs to Raziel’s ear.

  “Well… yeah, if you’re sure.”

  “Honey I’ve never been unsure of anything in my life. Twenty minutes, meet me at the front?” The ginger tail is lightly swinging behind him, arms behind his back as he sways airily on his paws. The fluttering in Raziel’s lower chest continues; he adores him.

  “It’d be a pleasure.”

was one of the maaanyyy many sketches I have for them in raz's wip folder that my dear friend raven-2007 paid me to finish, along with the story here! :𝔻
finished the writing IMMEDIATELY when he proposed the commission because I guess strong interest in my stuff is the best possible incentive to speed through it lol, but the art took a bittt longer cause was also working on another few commissions, and this was a bit more of a demanding one that required refs and much thought (and also took a bit longer than usual, at around 5 hours maybe?), but it's basically exactly how I wanted it~ love how almost all my arts are like that now, aaaa so satisfyinggg

also kai's stage name is 'zenko', like the type of kitsune he shall be in dnd :3c

(the 'less savoury' antics alluded to in the fic are the fact thattt people who are into bestiality sometimes pay werewolf sex workers to pretend to be plain animals in their feral forms so the clients can satisfy their very ungood paraphilia in a consensual and legal manner; which is def 'hmm' but kai is MORE than happy to accept pay for almost anything, so he's quite content to make bank off of that TuT)

the song played on repeat throughout this one was 'break my heart' again, both the pentatonix and original dua lipa versions, partially cause they remind me of kai, as doess mitch grassi himself - my art session breaks were punctuated by watching older vids of the pentatonix 'superfruit' bois, bcuz fuk I am so weak for fembois  ∠( ᐛ 」∠)＿

also, pose was kind of inspired by older yuri on ice arts I'd see on tumblr involving pole dancing (namely this one that lingered in my mind for y e a r s that I only just re-found like a few days ago lol)
fun fact kai's inspirations draw from kaden fire emblem as the initial inspo base, merged with my own beastboy tastes, influenced strongly by angel dust hazbin hotel, and the thing that really took off the story for him and raz was all the YoI arts I've always loved where one's dressed like a businessman in a suit and the other's just Slutte™ ghghghgh; originally was gonna draw that for these two just 'for fun' as an 'au' or something before I went o wait... I can just............ have that be CANON canon... so it is, and now I have around 50 sketches, 12 000+ words of fic (most of which can be read heree ), well over a dozen finished arts, and a full playlist . hyperfixation is F U N xD
