I was playing around with brushes and learning new things along the way, which is always fun. This sort of came out of nowhere, and I found that I really like it!I liked it so much, I couldn't bear to put it into my scraps. Not for now, at least. I may move it there, eventually.
Anyway, enjoy!
EDIT: I've deiced to send it to my scraps. I like it, but I don't think it necessarily represents me as an artist, and I don't want it to be the first thing people see when they visit my gallery. I hope that's not a stupid reason. Like I said, I still like it. ^_^

I really like that grainy feeling, as well as how you work with minimalist tone to get the full volume of your character, it just seems so hard to me : < which brushes did you use for this one?

But thanks, all-the-more. I actually custom-made my brushes. I'm thinking of doing a tutorial on how I get all of my different brushes, and when I do, I'll let you know. ^_^

I also noticed you've started using more of the grainy brushes than anything. Or is that just an overlay?

It's not anyone in particular, no. Not yet. I might use him elsewhere. Who knows?
I use a lot of grainy and textured brushes because it gives it that more "painterly" look and feel. But no, it's not a filter. Just clever brush modifications.
