Hey folks!My "entry" into the Food Challenge. The task was to take a food and design a character inspired by that food. This time, the focus was on candy or snack foods.
I went the obvious route and made a peppermint girl. I'm not sure if she's 60s or flight attendant or both, but I dig her! let me know your thoughts!

No. You didn't even explain what you wanted to use it for, for starters, but also I'd rather people not just randomly use my art for stuff in general.

Thanks! Yeah, I had a bit of a crisis with the background color, and I can definitely see where you're coming from. Ultimately, I chose it because I wanted something to accentuate the sugary-sweet nature of the image, but I'm also not sure it was the best decision. Oh well, live and learn. ;D

I was actually trying to make a similar submission, but I always end up drawing the same generic skinny girl base that hardly fits under the term "character design". So yes, I hereby officially envy you!

See, looking at your gallery, I'd think you would have no problem whipping up a really cool character full of personality. I suggest you keep trying, since DAC is really good as a learning tool and for honing our skills as character designers. You will certainly come up with something awesome if you give it another shot! ;D

Now that's really clever. So far no one's thought to use candy for the challenge. I love the 60s look, too. It almost looks like a character from one of the PAS from back then. Well done!
