Description
...this is a reposting of a foggy Golden Gate Bridge pic from last fall. Since it was deleted when I cleared out my gallery to size down the images and stick a watermark on them, I lost the DD assignation it had....oh well....maybe it'll get another one. ha.Related content

This is absolutely brilliant, it's one of those once in a lifetime images. Only thing better would be to shoot it on medium-large format

thank you.... i agree, if only to have a such a camera....or, for that matter, even a 5D or so...

while the image is truly worthy of such a format, what makes it particularly enchanting isn't the camera you used...but rather, that you engaged your senses & full being to take the time to record it. after all, it's absolutely true, a camera doesn't make the photograph

true in many ways. however, in this early, early capture with a brand new and totally foreign camera running on full auto at (oops) 1600 ISO, and simply shooting wildly out the top of the rented convertible while on a vacation trip from San Diego to San Francisco, there is no doubt in my mind that the engaged senses were mostly long after the actual series of rapid-fire clicks; 'seeing/feeling' the shot/crop was certainly more within photoshop as opposed to going 40 mph over the fog-enshrouded bridge......... i love this shot, but believe me, i credit luck more than anything!

How did you get up there?

drove over it in a convertible, rapid fire shooting as we crossed, and then, pouring over the shots later to crop the one that gave the look/feel you see...

quite interesting. well done again, very dramatic shot with a lot feeling (at least from my side).
i was there couple days ago, fog was amazing from top of that scenic drive. and the tanker horns. i wish some photographs have sounds in it.

absolutely true. luckily we had a convertible, which made it easier to point and shoot (with little aiming)...

Ah well, I lost one too when I switched accounts.
It's a great looking image though. Fog certainly has a way of giving you a different, if restricted, way of looking at things.
