Description
...this is a reposting of a foggy Golden Gate Bridge pic from last fall. Since it was deleted when I cleared out my gallery to size down the images and stick a watermark on them, I lost the DD assignation it had....oh well....maybe it'll get another one. ha.Related content

I'm not sure this is an appropriate comment, but when I saw the thumbnail I thought "oh--what a lovely image of the lower curve of a woman's breast" --it was a very kind of gut reaction, and I clicked immediately and saw what it was, and of course the image is even more spectacular full-size, but I still can't get rid of that initial thought, that it was cleavage, and it really colors my perception of the piece! An interesing look into the mind of the viewer I suppose!
lovely, lovely work, it has a beautiful almost first-generation film quality to it.

ahh, yes, it's a common misconception; in fact, i've sold a couple where I was specifically asked to sign it "The Bossom Gate Bridge"....
Thanks for the kind words, especially regarding the comparison to film. It's been my favorite crop-n-edit image for the last couple of years.....it's actually only about 1/4th of the original image, but it just seemed right to eliminate the surrounding SF context, and keep it somewhat surreal...

Really amazing this structure seems to come out from nowhere. The very intense fog definitely creates a strange atmosphere.
Simply beautiful !

many thanks for your kind words. This pic remains one of the first and favorite photos from a new hobby....i wish it was from a better camera/format (it was small part of an 8 MP JPG, so i can't blow it up much...)

I saw this picture in a small version and it looked like a closeup of breasts,
happy to see that itΒ΄s not.

well, in the year (almost exactly) since i originally posted that pic, i'd say 1 in 20 people say the same thing (but probably many more think so). honestly, i never saw the similarity until it was mentioned.
nonetheless, i am very happy you like it.
by the way, coursing through your gallery just now...wow, it's superb please keep clickin'...you "got it".

Awesome. You seem to like shoot details. Not like me, I put the friggin' wideangle on and capture everything.
I like your "detail-style" of shooting

DrGiancarlo In reply to mrdingo [2006-05-18 22:41:48 +0000 UTC]
if i had a good wide angle, i might be so-inclined. i just borrowed a friends zillion dollar canon/lens combo and it was preposterously wonderful. i must get one, somehow.
