Description
A "realistic" render of a 1:5 scale Nintendo Super Famicom I created in Solidworks to be 3d printed in two pieces, assembled, and painted.The model is designed with consideration for the specific tolerances of 3d printing, being hollow to save on material costs with a 1mm thick shell. All details of the original system are included on the model as well, including screw holes, ports, seams and recesses. Special attention also went into representing the text as .2mm extrusions from the surface to afford the ability to paint them with relative ease. Accuracy is within .5mm.

Are you planning to do a 3D model of PAL version SNES also? It is nearly same as this - but it has the text 'Super Nintendo' instead of 'Super Famicom'. All European and Australian retro gamers would be happy to see that.

It would be easy enough to swap out the text, sure. I just figured since the models are so close in overall appearance, there was no need to make it as a separate model.
