Erhmmm...Yes... I am not sure if this will help anyone, but basically this is the way I work (most days anyway).I know in my poll you wanted character designs more than anything, but I am a rebel so I will do a little from each.

This is awesome! I always love tips on designing things, even if I'm actually too lazy to follow them. And I've never really come across tips on designing places. But I love how honest your advice is: Steal them. Yep, I do it all the time. Google Images is awesome!
