Hot dang...
I'm rereading this (and loving it all over again btw) and I've just realised another reason this death/act of violence in particular would have an impact on him: the guy has white hair and his (albeit blue) eyes are staring blankly up at him.

If I can make a suggesstion, I think you could make the scene seem more powerful if the BLAM! Was bigger, and more slanted. Maybe even an uglier text if you wanted. It would make it seem louder.

oh gosh I feel sick thinking about this ;; This is a similar situation to the cops fighting Jupiter, except in that case, the cops were not innocent. Here, it's not like Otto was even fighting these guys--he's just trying to get out of there with his life, and then a (probably innocent) guy gets shot--is he gonna wind up blaming himself for this? Like, if that were me, I'd feel guilty for the rest of my life.
Not to mention how sensitive he is to violence--his reaction to the fake stuff on TV was bad enough. I'm almost scared to see his reaction to this.
Man his expression on that last panel is heartbreaking...

I'm beginning to think that Otto keeps his monsters barely under control, his reaction to the tv program at work started me thinking about what kind of a hair trigger he could have. Β The question becomes how close is he to blondie when he does trigger.
I'm still falling back to wondering just who Tom and company are working for that shooting others is a no brainer decision.
