Man, I have an idea for why Tom turned on Jupiter but I have no idea how to phrase it (partially because I have a flu bug at the moment). Something like, Tom wanting information from Jupiter that he refused to give? Or Tom finding out something about Jupiter's past that turned him against him? Gaah I can't word things right now.

I have no clue on why their relationship fell apart, but it makes me terribly sad to know it after seeing this page ._.
Maybe Tom wanted Jupiter to do something, and he refused? Or something about Jupiter's past that he discovered later... I don't know, it seems like something pretty serious if they were trying to disect Jupiter.Β

My guess is puberty, the cruelnessness of children, an unconventional relative, a low self-esteem, a desire to 'fit in', and the wrong crowd.

Imagine a pretty girl Tom would really want to impress - maybe she's Miss Popularity, maybe she's a L'il Miss Trustfund. Β And he overhears her and her friends remarking how 'dweeby' Jupiter was after a recent visit. Β I'm not entirely sure of the timeline in place here, but if Tom's YA years were in the 'Baby Boomer' era, then someone like Jupiter could be recast as a 'fuddy-duddy' and a 'square', simply because he wasn't a self-centered thug with no money, ambition, or manners.

Because Tom thought Jupiter could protect him and his mother. Which is why he grew up wanting to build his own robot so badly....I don't know why Jupiter didn't help protect them? I'm thinking Jupiter stepped in one time during a fight and Tom's mom defended the abuser and told Jupiter to stay out of their lives. (Stockholm Syndrome?)

I seriously thought for some reason Jupiter was Otto's grandfather and didn't even realize the name difference of Tom/Otto....I need sleep & have been reading too many comics....that's so bad lol
