Wow, this is a surprising ammount of character and personality for a 3D render! You are indeed on to something! For extra credit, try adding some shine and other post-processing to that staff so it looks less obviously 3D rendered. The metal in the background, too. And especially the jewels on the staff... you could easily make a shiny sphere in photoshop... go for it. Leave us wondering how much of the image is 3D and how much is digital painting!

But I really have to commend you for the interesting character design and bright, even lighting job. You avoided like twenty 3D rendered chick cliche's when you made this piece. Way to go.

Maybe add a little post-processing light and shadow to the belt buckle, too... just to make it look more 3D.
