Hey everyone, I'm done with my first tutorial! I tried to make this easy to follow for beginners but if you have any questions comments or concerns at all, leave a comment or note me! I spend way to much time in front of my computer so I'm nearly always there to help! Enjoy!Peace,

Thanks man! Well explained, so even a computer novice like me can understand. I put this into a shortcut, since my mind is preoccupied with other stuff, and I usually need a cookbook open to boil eggs, never mind anything more complicated than that. Great - plan on combining what I've learned from you with my old fashioned approach of brush on canvas.....
Cheers
Otto

nice text though

Dshark In reply to SoC-spoc [2007-02-01 04:21:52 +0000 UTC]
Goddamn you gimp nerds. Stopp dissin my PS skillz! Ok the render is crappy I admit, and the border isnt the greatest either. But thats is not the purpose of the tutorial! The purpose is to show how to make and blend the back ground. If I had Blended the samus into the back ground then i would had to show that and the tut would have been even longer! Oh yeah, and you can find the font at [link]

The part at the top that begins "Now we have to do something manually" I have no idea what to do at that part plz go into more detail...if you could maybe send it in an e-mail to [link] @gmail.com
thank you...great tut.

Dshark In reply to lordofmass [2007-01-21 21:53:53 +0000 UTC]
Uh... It kind of explains in the picture above, all your doing is moving a layer that has its layer option set to lighten. When I said do it manually I mean is use your mose to move it.

ach, so much work and only a fraction of it is actually used!
this tutorial has been brilliantly done; it's so clear and easy to understand great job! i shall have to put some of these techniques in to practice

Sweetness. Thanx Lol wasnt as easy to understand when it said dense flair instead of lens flare. >_< D'oh!

This is really great! ^^
O.o; But how do you "render a dense flair"? I've been trying to figure this out... I have not a clue.

You should try and blend the render, it stands out too much and is a bit choppy, nice tutorial though, interesting method.

Dshark In reply to goo-fan [2006-12-21 21:02:47 +0000 UTC]
Blender ? Stands out too much what do you mean?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
goo-fan In reply to Dshark [2006-12-21 22:15:41 +0000 UTC]
The picture image you placed on top... it just stands out a little too much, if you blend it in to the background it'll look a little better, that's only my opinion though! I'm bad at explaining, but if you browse some sig tutorials on something like [link] most of them blend the images in to look a bit better... i'm terrible at explaining things, so it might make more sense if you look at another tut and see how they do it.

Dshark In reply to goo-fan [2006-12-22 00:56:43 +0000 UTC]
Heh yeah. Really didnt even go into any detail on that. The tutorial is for back grounds I just kinda threw that part togeather real quick to demonstrate. If I had blended it i would have had to show how and blah blah blah = a long tutorial. Thanx for the input though.
