Ur welcome! Hahaha, I had seen your avatar a LONG time ago (and saw the explanation) and was awed by it. Now, I know the mastermind behind it....! (OK, so that sounded corny. Whatever.)

dragengothika [2008-01-30 21:51:08 +0000 UTC]

nice tutorial.
Just some notes though.

When erasing things like you were it's usually best to use a mask, so that it can easily be edited without losing what you've erased (If you don't know what I mean I'd be happy to explain).
Also to merge the photos you may be able to just change top layers opacity type (or whatever it's called) to overlay or multiply. Something like that.

Please don't take this as me having a go! I think your tutorials really good. It's just some stuff I've picked up after doing the same things.

Nope your right. I've learned since I did this.

ReVerthex [2007-08-31 19:06:44 +0000 UTC]

A far simpler and often more effective way to do this is to use the clone stamp tool, so long as the images don't overlap that is.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Dshark In reply to ReVerthex [2007-08-31 20:53:16 +0000 UTC]

Exactly, I taught the hard way and not so well, I used that method a bit in [link] .

MrEdison [2007-03-20 15:13:28 +0000 UTC]

Wow. Very nice work. May I suggest that you add some sort of shadow under the one in the middle and the one on the left. It looks believable but I think it would look even more believable with some shadow under the two.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Dshark In reply to MrEdison [2007-03-20 19:58:18 +0000 UTC]

Well if you could explain how I would be happy too consider.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

MrEdison In reply to Dshark [2007-03-20 20:42:19 +0000 UTC]

Well, instead of cutting them all out like that, you could have just divided the pictures in three, one being the left side, one being the middle and one being the right side. That way, the only thing you would really need to do is clone whatever don't fit. Just a thought

LMAO
I tried your tutorial and never did let you see it like you said, lol. It was the one with the blue abstract looking thing. I did it so many times but I have yet made one that I really liked :/ So I didn't show you. XD

RayCipher [2007-02-19 09:18:39 +0000 UTC]

Its great, the only problem is that your two clones don't seem to make an impression on the sofa.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Dshark In reply to RayCipher [2007-02-19 11:19:04 +0000 UTC]

Well we cant all be perfect now can we ... they're just clones they dont have to follow the laws of physics.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

RayCipher In reply to Dshark [2007-02-19 13:31:49 +0000 UTC]

But my clones follow the law of physics... wait, they walk on the ceiling. Nevermind.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Dshark In reply to RayCipher [2007-02-19 15:24:59 +0000 UTC]

Seeeee...

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

amostar In reply to Dshark [2007-02-19 18:28:04 +0000 UTC]

But, couldn't you just merely erase the images so that the other clones are visable and so that you leave the background that is around the clones? Wouldn't that fix your indenting on the couch problem? And shadow problem... the clones don't make shadows on the couch either.
Still, very good tutorial.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Dshark In reply to amostar [2007-02-19 18:31:02 +0000 UTC]

You could but liek i said to the other guy youd have to do a lot of post work to get all the colors right.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

amostar In reply to Dshark [2007-02-19 18:35:07 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I read that after I posted! LOL

0zhan [2007-02-19 08:49:00 +0000 UTC]

Photos' backgronds are identical so why trying to make hole exact, cant a box selection also do the job?

But I havent tried;
Is time between photos make tiny differences (shadows?) that it ruins the photo?

By the way, it's fun to read it. Carry this attitude to other tutorials

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Dshark In reply to 0zhan [2007-02-19 11:21:22 +0000 UTC]

Yeah box selection could also do it... but any color differentce between photos will be more visible... the post work will be greater. And if your outside or some where the shadows change i suggest you take the pictures as quick as possible.

sam-parker1 [2007-02-18 12:18:37 +0000 UTC]
